I got my EAD approved in 67 days.

Also I went to get my state ID today. That was interesting to say the least. The guy at the DMV tried to tell me I can't get my ID with just the EAD, that I had to have my green card. I told him he needs to call someone because I know for sure that I can! He eventually did, and I did get my ID but oh my god was he mean and snotty! I mean I understand not everyone knows the whole UCSIS process and that's ok...but the snotty comments and how mean he was to me was totally uncalled for.

Hey guys!

I'm wondering if anyone here can help me out with some info.

I filed my AOS paperwork - receipt date on NOA is July 30th (for I-485).

From what I'm seeing it looks like it takes 1 to maybe 2 weeks for some people to receive their biometrics appointment letter. I have not yet received one.

I called after 30 days to see what was going on. After answering some questions, I was told that within 15 days I would have an answer to my inquiry.

Yesterday, I received a letter saying,

"... we researched the status of your case. Our records indicate that we are actively processing your application. However, we have to perform an additional review on this case. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made...."

I'm worried that the biometrics letter may have gotten lost in the mail or something. Any ideas on what I can do? I'm in the Dallas, TX area. Are the wait times here longer??

Many Thanks,

Cat

7/24/2015 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP

7/30/2015 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD/AP

9/21/2015 - still no biometrics appointment...

9/9/2015 - 1st service request (inquiry)

10/6/2015 - 2nd service request (inquiry)

10/16/2015 - EAD/AP APPROVAL via email!!! (approved on 16/10)

Are you able to see your case staus online? When you called they didn't mention anything about your current case status?
