I am very impressed that some people have had such progress in their cases--congratulations!!

Our local office is NYC and I've heard that it can take up to 3.5 months to receive my husband's EAD (WE HOPE NOT!) and up to 6 months until we have our interview. This seems much longer than everyone else. :( Any others with NYC as their local office?

Congrats! Around a month turnaround process sounds fabulous, wish people in NYC would getting your speed! Good luck!

Well, it's nice to hear that my case and I are not alone! Hoping for quick movement for the both of us!

Try to lie to myself million time that people file from NYC would have the same processing time with the other states, took my downtime at work these days studied some of VJers who filed from NYC, I see it is slower/longer waiting time, guess it's because the local offices are receiving large numbers of applicant so they keep pushing the interviews on a later date, I might get wrong, and I hope I am wrong! Good luck guys!

Unfortunately, it is slower but I am hoping it is not as slow as my lawyer recently told me it is! (The estimates he gave us in the beginning were shorter than they are now.)

Good luck to you.

Congrats on the interview date! :D

I think we're the only Tampa people in this thread. When I checked the processing times on the USCIS site, it says as of June 30th, they were through 485's as of December 7th. Seems like we're in for a bit of a wait, with or without the RFE!

Check this out, this could be the standard NYC EAD approval time frame, "muss82" #459 of the thread. He/she has received NOA on 7/1, done Bio on 7/21, then got EAD approved on 8/27, which turns out 6-8 weeks processing time from NOA1, VJ estimated time is between September 6, 2015 and September 10, 2015, actual a week ahead. Not too bad :)

I will keep digging the EAD and Interview waiting time from previous filers, see how it go.

Good luck and stay close.

Good to know (about the EAD).

Is it difficult finding a job with the EAD? Are companies typically familiar with this process?
