Per USCIS- They are currently expecting technical difficulties with their online system. They are hoping to have the issue resolved soon. If you are unable to view your case online after receiving the hardcopy NOA to allow 30 day for a biometrics letter. If you don't receive a biometrics letter within 30 days of receipt of NOA or you're still unable to access the case online after 45 days to call their customer service number.

Thanks for this info! Where did you see this? We received our NOA's on August 1st but haven't received our biometrics appt letter yet. Not that it's been too long of a time, but hoping that this won't affect us or slow down the process!

I am sorry to hear that. Please try not to worry beforehand. I heard of a few people that had to come in twice for the fingerprints because they (FBI) couldn't read the scan. But after the second time everything went well and they got their combo card(EAD and AP) and are waiting for the GC interview soon. So it is just a little bump on the road. I am sure everything will be fine in the end. Cheer up!

Thanks for your reply Ksenia. I will keep you posted how it goes in case anyone else here has the same problem.

I spoke too soon. Got our biometrics appt letter today!! Scheduled for 8/21. I read how some of you have walked in earlier to get biometrics taken. Do you think this expedites the process? I would think having the biometrics done earlier than later wouldn't affect anything but curious as to what people think.

In my opinion it does not expedite process. We did a succesful walk-in because the appoitment time was not convenient for me as I work during a day. My husband does not drive, so I have to take him everywhere. They did give us hard time though and there was nobody else waiting.

Yep ... I just picked up the mails (NOA1 for my EAD and AOS) this morning.

I also called in for my EAD to be expedited yesterday ... looking forward to what their response would look like in 5 days time.

Goodluck to all of us ... cheers

Hi everyone,

My quote above refers... Today, I received a hard copy mail from USCIS in related to my request for expiditing my EAD which read thus:

"Our records indicate that we are awaiting your appearance for biometric processing. Your case is currently in suspense or on hold until we receive your biometrics. A copy of your appointment notice is included FYI. You may request expeditious processing again once USCIS has received your biometrics"

Please did anyone understand what this could mean? I didn't receive any email from them prior to this mail stating if i was denied or otherwise.

Does this mean that they would approve it afterwards?

Please did anyone has their email address where I can reapply after i conclude my biometrics which is slated for next week attaching necessary documents/proofs.

Pls Kindly advise me as i seem confused right now

It sounds like they can't process the expedite until you've done the biometrics. After you do the biometrics, you have to apply again, is what it reads like.

Hey, so you called and what did they answer? Why can't you see your case?

They just said that they were expecting technical difficulties with their site. I should expect the biometrics letter in 30 days, if not, call them and if 45 days have passed since application date and I am still unable to see my case online to call them back.

None of my case numbers are viewable. I have tried the online website and the app.

It means they cannot expedite your EAD because you have not gone for your biometric.

That was why they said" You may request expeditious processing again once USCIS has received your biometrics"

Once your biometric has been done your can request for Expedite on your EAD.
