I'm trying to find out what is the processing times for D.O.R.A through the Dallas location, also is it worth doing the EAD if your going through Dallas. anyone who went through Dallas please let me know. Thanks

K-1 process

03/11/2006 - Engagement.

04/13/2006 - sent I-129F

04/17/2006 - I-129F delivered

04/20/2006 - NOA1

07/28/2006 - Touched07/31/2006 - Touched (NOA2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

08/01/2006 - E-mail NAO2 saying i was approved 31st

08/18/2006 - Packet 3 sent to Consulate

12/28/2006 - Interview (it's going to be a lonely Christmas)

12/29/2006 - Picket up Visa , one way ticket to Dallas!!!!!

AOS Process

03/06/2007 - AOS process starts (D.O.R.A) Submit application and Interview

04/06/2007 - Biometrics

I know that this isn't an answer for you but I wish that all of the United States would enact the system that Dallas is currently using.

2006-08-29 11:25pm Email from the U.S. Consulate, the interview date is October 17th!

2006-09-29 Medical examination for Xiang and our daughter Qi. Interview is just around the corner!

2006-10-16 11:15pm VISA APPROVED!!!!

2006-10-29 Xiang and Qi arrived in Detroit, immigrations 2 1/2 hours, finally holding my sweetheart in my arms.

2006-11-05 Exchanging our vows, what a beautiful day for our wedding!

Hi there!

We went through Dallas DORA AOS interview on Jan 18 this year. They SAY that the process should be completed; and Green Card in hand within 90 days.. ( personally i will believe that when it happens) We were approved at the interview, but even then the file still goes to MSC for name checks and whatever; and biometrics were scheduled not long after the interview.

Because my husband already has a job offer we DID apply and pay for EAD ( online) just as a sort of "insurance" against being caught in " name checks" ( the DORA program does not immune you from those ). We figured the $180 ( or whatever it was) was worth it against losing income waiting for the green card if we were stuck in name check Hell.

Just our route of doing it. Getting an EAD when in DORA is ultimatly your decision.

Hi, I went through the Dallas Office Rapid Adjustment Program. This is my processing time:

Day 58 - application approved/date of permanent residence given (you would only know this in retrospect when you receive your green card) - they never email you or inform you when the exact date you get approved; but you will indeed receive a welcome letter/notification that they have registered you as a new permanent resident

Day 61 - email notice welcoming the new resident

DAy 66 - welcome letter in the mail

Day 72 - received green card in the mail

It is not worth doing the EAD; your green card will be there before your EAD.

i guess im one of the lucky ones who can testify that DORA really works! :yes: i got my green card exactly 2 months after the infopass filing. :thumbs:

Dec 11, 06- Infopass/DORA Appointment

Jan 06, 07- Biometrics Appointment

Feb 07, 07- Received Welcome Notice

Feb 10, 07- Green Card in the mail after only 61 DAYS!!!
