In I864, which income you mentioned? Gross income or total income? Line no 22 in the 1040 is the total income, which you need to mention in the I864.

Did you send the tax information for past three years?

We just submitted the most recent tax year which is 2014. When my husband mailed his AOS to nvc, he didnt fill the boxes in 13.a and 13.a.1..

That's why we got checklist..he submitted the IRS with W2....

March 18, 2015 = Sent I-130

March 26, 2015 = NOA1 ( Nebraska Service Center)

March 23, 2015 = Priority Date

April 20, 2015 = NOA2

April 28, 2015 = Case was sent to NVC

May 18, 2015 = Received case number and Invoice ID by phone

June 2, 2015 = AOS "PAID"

June 5, 2015 = Sent AOS/IV packet

June 10, 2015 = SCAN DATE  :bonk:

June 12, 2015 = DS 261 Completed

June 16, 2015 = Received IV invoice

Ohh!!!

If he filled IRS only through W2, then you can fill out I864EZ. no need of I864.

Do check everything once again properly when you send to NVC, one simple careless mistake we do, finally end up on another 30days+ waiting time. I wish they review your checklist again soon.

Police certificates - How long do you need to reside in a place before you need to get one for that place? I will be moving back to the US definitely before hubby has his interview and likely before the end of the NVC process. Once I move, hubby has decided to move to a different state in Australia for the remainder of the process as he feels he'll be able to get a better job and save more money. We're hoping this is just for 2-3 months but with the nature of the process it could be longer. Will he need a police certificate for that state as well? Or just where we are currently living?

If 1040, then you need to put the amount in line no 22. That is the total income.

Ok I was finally able to submit the ds261 on Friday evening. Now when attempting to sign in to pay fees, I am getting the error This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately. Is this normal and I just need to wait longer?

I guess you don't need to worry. If you go through Saylins wiki, this is actually a good news. This message means that the invoice is getting generated for you. Do wait for couple of days and then call NVC.

Ana, does your Mom have her Birth Certificate? If she doesn't you can request a copy of it.

Hello

Yes, she does;but I've already filled ds260 (with her married name, I only realized the mistake after sending it - I was dumb enough to think it refereed to my birth, not hers)... Should I just wait?

Tks

USCIS:

2015/3/23: I-130 Sent: (Let's start the waiting game!)

2015/3/25: NOA1 Sent by email, case routed to the USCIS California Service Center (hardcopy 2015/6/4)

2015/4/21: NOA2 (email; got hardcopy in 2015/5/6)

NVC:

2015/5/21: Got NVC case # and IIN

2015/5/29: Filled DS261 online

2015/6/1: Payed AOS fee online

2015/6/5: Sent AOS and IV packages

2015/6/8: DS261 reviewed over the phone

2015/6/8: Scan Date

2015/7/5: Payed IV fee online

2015/7/8: Filled DS260

2015/7/23: Checklist!!

2015/7/25: Checklist Scan Date

2015/8/18: NVC CC

2015/9/11: Interview Scheduled for October 8th (no letter yet, just called NVC!)

I will say, it's safe to get a police certificate. By the way, does Australia have different police certificate for different states?

2-3 months is a short time, but if you call that place home for a certain time, and not a place for tourism, I think you would need it. Again, check with NVC supervisor for your unique situation.

Tks

I have no proper answer for this. I would probably call the NVC to ask. Or just wait and if no checklist, get your mom's Birth Certificate with you to the interview and correct it then. I read it somewhere on VJ about the person who made a mistake on 260 and the NVC told them to do this. I just don't remember what kind of mistake was made. Maybe somebody else can chip in?

Saylin maybe?
