hello Vj's , have been trying to get NVC on phone but never been successful, can someone please tell me what time is best to call and what no.

Call at exactly 6:59am EST and you'll get through to the phone system on the first or second try; I called on more than one occasion and it worked for me every time.

how do they plan to take the system down this weekend ? They are closed on Friday and no body works on the weekend . I feel the guy you talked to was on crack lol .

Hi, everyone! Our case has been approved and sent to NVC on July 6. My husband called NVC earlier today to ask if they have received it and the girl said we need to wait 35 days from the notice date and told my husband to call again on August 1.

My question is, should we really wait for August 1 or would it be okay if we call again next week? Thank you! :)

Anamaral, it must be your mothers maiden name (the last name she had when she was born). If your mother carried her maiden name all the time, and if her maiden name is on your birth certificate, then you got it right.

I don't quite understand how she has "different Maiden name"?

The problem is: in my birth certificate is her "married name".. As well as all my documents. I don't have any document with her maiden name

Should I just wait for a checklist?

So there isn't any case complete to interview scheduled for Canada in the spreadsheet lately?

Can you please chase some Canadian case completes from last month who have their interview scheduled? Thanks

My consulate is Montreal. Cc June 16, no interview schedule yet.

I wouldn't wait to August 1st as NVC will NOT notify you when they received your case... the only notification you will receive is when your relative receives the welcome letter from the NVC.

I'm in the same boat as we just received our NOA2 last week. I would begin calling two weeks after you received your NOA2. and ask if they received your case. When you give them your receipt number from USCIS, they'll respond with the fact that you have to wait 30 days etc...

I would still ask if they can see if your case has been received because it sounds like they're just reading a disclaimer back to you.

Congrats!!!...when did you fill out DS 260?..my scan date is June 10th and I was done with DS 260 July 7th...

Thank You!!!!1 I filled out my DS 260 on 8th june and send my aos and IV package on 9th june.

JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE!!! CASE COMPLETED YESTERDAY!!!! THANK GOD! I AM IN TEARSSSSSS!!!!!!

I called the NVC everyday until they gave me my case number. I'd keep calling.... It took around 15 days for the case number to be assigned from the time they received the petition at NVC.

Hey guys,

I'm a new approval. We were approved July 1st. How long does it take to hear from the NVC? Would I be rushy if I start to get the police certificates in the mean time?

Also, can we send the AOS and IV packages plus fees at once or we have to wait until the tell us to send them? Experts, what did you all do?

I called NVC today and we got good news case closed yesterday :D

Is your case I-130 or I-601???

March 31, 2015 - I-130 packet mailed through USPS express mail

April 1, 2015 - Packet Delivered

April 3, 2015 - NOA1, routed to Nebraska Service Center

April 6, 2015 - Payment of $420 cashed

April 9, 2015 - Hard copy of NOA1 received in the mail

May 19, 2015 - I-130 case APPROVED!!!

May 27, 2015 - Case sent to Department of State NVC

June 3, 2015 - Case received by NVC

June 16, 2015 - Case number obtained

June 17, 2015 - DS-261 choice of agent completed over the phone ( unable to sign in online )

June 20, 2015 - Received WELCOME LETTER (enclosed with AOS fee invoice and document cover sheet)

June 21, 2015 - Received IV invoice fee through email ( still unable to sign in online )

June 25, 2015 - Mailed payments of both AOS and IV fee (two separate money order from USPS in one envelope, overnight delivery)

June 30, 2015 - Received email confirmation, both AOS and IV payment received

July 2, 2015 - Called NVC and confirmed AOS and IV shows PAID and Cleared in their system ( since i can't log in online )

July 2, 2015 - Mailed documents (overnight), only to find out NVC is close today (july 3), so package is held in the NH post office, scheduled delivery updated to july 6

July 5, 2015 - Finally able to sign in to CEAC website and filled up DS 260 and SUBMITTED!!!

July 6, 2015 - SCAN DATE

July 27, 2015 - CASE COMPLETE!

August 24, 2015 - Interview schedule assigned

September 24, 2015 - INTERVIEW DATE at US EMBASSY MANILA, PHILIPPINES

APPROVED!

September 28, 2015 - Visa Packet received (picked up at 2GO SM MOA branch)

October 10, 2015 - ENTRY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, reunited with my wife finally!!! 

I- 751 timeline:

July 13, 2017 - Packet mailed to CSC via USPS express mail

July 15, 2017 - Packet delivered

July 19, 2017 - Check cashed (personal check $680)

July 21, 2017 - Received I-797, Notice of Action (dated 7/15/15, 8:57pm)

July 29, 2017 - Received biometrics appointment notice dated 7/21/17, appointment is on Aug 9.

November 15, 2018 -  CASE APPROVED
