SabeehNajem, when i filled the ds260 i put the mothers name shown on the petitioner's birth certificate, so the maiden name. but since Indonesia the name doesn't change when married.

Took a week before USCIS mailed it, a week to arrive, and then two weeks to get a case # (this seems to be about a standard timeline nowadays)

Did you have to call to see when they received your case and to get the case number?

I called this morning and the agent on the other end said that due to heavy case volume, I had to wait 35 for NVC to receive the case. Should I continue calling every week to get a status as it is described in the wiki instructions, or sit back and wait for my wife to receive the welcome letter in the mail?

Just got notification that NVC has received my New AOS form on July 2nd (in response to their checklist)....hoping it takes less than 30 days to review now...!!!!

Wait for an email. NVC is slow on email service. You will receive an email from NVC stating your scan date & expected review time. Generally the scan date is the date package ships to the NVC.

i don't understand im sorry. I just said i received an email from them that they have received my documents (financial and supporting) on July 6, im curious if that would be the same date as scan date..

yes july 6 will be your scan date. its the date they received it, not the day they sent out the email.

When the nvc stage is complete is there a notice when you sign in to the nvc website? Or is it just an email that the nvc completed processing of your case and forwarded your immigration petition to the embassay with the date forwarded?

There's no straight-forward message when you sign in saying "your case is complete!", but if you see the AOS fee change from PAID to N/A, then that's a great indicator your case is complete. The case complete email arrives around 7 days AFTER your case is completed, so either checking the CEAC portal or calling to find out will be faster than simply waiting on the email.

And your case won't get forwarded to the embassy until AFTER your interview date is scheduled by NVC.

If you're in no rush, just sit back and wait for everything. There's actually no NEED to call NVC at all during your process. You can just wait for their correspondence and go with that. If you'd like to speed up your case though by a bit, you should be calling. Up to you how you want to proceed

Yes I called. However, you should wait at least one week post NOA2 before calling. I would recommend checking your case status online in USCIS, they typically update it when your case has been shipped to the NVC. Also, from every timeline I have seen recently, it takes 2 weeks at least to arrive to the NVC after the NOA2. So I would wait two weeks then call weekly.

My wife (beneficiary) inadvertently clicked on the Choice Of Agent form this morning but didn't make any modifications and it now shows INCOMPLETE.

The DS-261 was reviewed in early June. We mailed in the IV fee and submitted the DS-260 this past Sunday when the systems were restored. The supporting documents were sent in about a month ago.

Last night I noticed the AOS fee status changed from PAID to N/A. I haven't called NVC to verify if we have a CC. Our case still shows 3 N/As including the AOS fee status even after the DS-261 status changed to INCOMPLETE.

Does anyone think we have an issue now that the DS-261 is showing INCOMPLETE? I don't want to draw attention to it by calling NVC to verify CC. What should I do?
