Writing or Typing the application?

Hi,

I started to type in the application on adobe and was wondering can we fill in all the AOS paperwork on the computer or do we have to write everything in? (Of course we would sign it in pen on the signature area)

You can do it all in Adobe Acrobat and then print and sign it, yes. I did it this way and would highly recommend it personally.

We just finished the AOS paperwork (I am K-1), and did the I-485, I-864 and the EAD I-765application on computer using PDF, printed it and just signed the bottom of it. The Biographical Form (G-325A) we couldn't get to work properly (some answers were too long in length and would make this wierd + signs), so we did what we could typed and then filled in the rest by hand. Some forms you can save to your desktop fill in (incase you need to modify or fix something), and some you can't. The G-325A by far is the most frustrating and irritating form on-line ( you can't save that one).

Only the signature has to be handwritten (obviously) but the rest is upto you. We just found it easier to type things in since it's easier to correct mistakes/get things in tiny boxes but some people prefer to write

The Adobe works pretty good and saves you from making multiple copies, but it is limited. You should print out a page after entering the information to see if everything was accepted. If you have an especially long name, then the software will simply cut off what doesn't fit. That doesn't work when you are talking about names.

You might have to reduce middle names to initials to insure that everything is correct.

Just wanted to add that since I have two middle names I had to type in what I could and physically write in the name or part of the name that didn't fit.
