Hey guys, I need some help with the I-134 form, I just wonder if these are all that we need as evidence:

Notarized copies of his or her latest federal income tax return;

A statement from his or her employer showing salary and the length and permanency of employment;

A statement from an officer of a bank regarding his or her account, the date the account was opened, and the present balance;

Any other evidence adequate to establish financial ability to carry out his or her undertaking toward the applicant for what might be an indefinite period of time.

Information regarding his or her annual income;

Where material, information regarding his or her other resources;

Other obligations and expenses;

Plans and arrangements made for the applicant's reception and support;

An expression of willingness to deposit a bond, if necessary, with the Immigration and Naturalization Service to guarantee that the applicant will not become a public charge in the United States; and

An acknowledgement that the sponsor is aware of his or her responsibilities under the Social Security Act, as amended, and the Food Stamp Act, as amended; that the affidavit will be binding upon to sponsor for three (3) years after entry of the named persons; and that the affidavit and supporting documentation may be made available to a public assistance agency. (The provisions of the above laws are contained in form DS-1858, Sponsor's Financial Responsibility Under the Social Security Act, and printed in Part III of the instructions for Form I-134). <<<<<<<<<------ (Do Sam and his daddy need to write a statement about this part?)

The sponsor must submit, in duplicate, evidence of income and resources, as appropriate.

Are these 2 the main things that we need(would it be enough if I use them as proof that I won't be a public charge):

A. Statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution in which you have deposits giving the following details regarding your account:

date account opened

total amount deposited for the past year

present balance

B. Statement of your employer on business stationery, showing:

date and nature of employment

salary paid

whether position is temporary or permanent

Thanks a lot!!

Another quick question about the 134...

I -the USC- have been living in the UK since May 2006. Soooo....for the financial year of 2006 I don't have much income from the United States. I'm above the US poverty line if you include the salary I've been making in the UK since May, but will that count for the 134 since I'm not having to file taxes on that amount? I am of course paying UK taxes, but I wont have American taxes from this money...and all of my money is in a UK bank account in British pounds. I also share that account with my fiancee, so, the money in the account is from both his and my job. I know that they don't include the fiancee's income when they are seeing if you are over the poverty line, so how will they do it since we both have the same account? Anyway, I suppose I'm just wondering if we are going to need a sponsor since I haven't made enough money IN THE USA in the past year. No worries if we need a sponsor cause my parents can do it...but I am just wondering so I can go ahead and tell them to start getting the papers ready!

Thanks for your help!

Marina
