Yes it is!! Was just going to post about it here, in fact (and ask if I'm right in thinking you don't stuff your faces with pancakes in honour of Shrove Tuesday in the US...?)

I just got back from queueing for half an hour in the work canteen, for one tiny little pancake with lemon & sugar. Yummy, though. And tonight I will make a huge jug of batter and work my way through the lot - hurrah! (Hmm, possibly leaving enough left over for breakfast pancakes, too...)

That a good option for "Fat Tuesday" here in the US. Here in Michigan, Paczki's (pronounced poonch-keys) are the rage... basically fruit-filled doughnuts covered with powdered sugar. Twice the calories of a 'normal' doughnut! Some places sell King cakes as well, but they're not authentic.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

My mind is boggling at the concept of packing a doughnut with even more calories than it would ordinarily have - how that's achieved I can't begin to imagine, but it sounds fantastic!!

I think most people probably have them with lemon and sugar - but chocolate (Nutella!), ice cream, anything else sweet goes as well! I do love loads of lemon juice and a sprinkling of sugar, though. I quite like savoury crepes, but... not on Pancake Day!

Oh, and we have them hot... straight from the pan. Make a pancake, eat a pancake, make a pancake, eat a pancake... until you've run out of batter!

Mmm.... must stop by the shops on the way home from work. :)

You eat them cold right?

I'm still trying to wrap my brain around this..........

What else do you have with them? I mean, here we have bacon, eggs, all that stuff.....

Cool link, D! The way David explained them, they sounded like crepes.... I make awesome crepes (grandma's recipe) so that's our dinner this evening! Thanks!!!
