Hi guys,

Finally eligible to submit my N400 next week based on being married to a USN for 3 yrs. But I just wanted to get your opinion regarding the residence dates. I am not sure if it will be a big deal but I just wanted to make sure if I did my application correctly. Before my wife & I moved from VA to TX to take job offers, we went back home to the Philippines for 2 months. The lease on our VA apartment expired about a month into the vacation (our apt was unoccupied the final month of our lease). When we got back to the US we stayed with my uncle for a week, took our stuff, and then drove to TX. I won’t be including my uncle’s address because this is just temporary – or should I? I am also kind of confused if I should put the end date on our VA apartment as the day before we physically moved in to our place in TX or the actual end date of the lease. Will it be okay if there is about a month missing on the residence part of my application? As of right now the end date on the form shows the day before we moved into TX. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

You don't have to disclose temporary address. You may count from the day your lease expired toward your residency in Texas. 2 months vacation should be counted toward your residency in Virginia. I don't know when you move to Texas, so make sure you meet the 3-months requirement which you resided in the district or state that you are applying for citizenship for the last three months. Otherwise, USCIS district in Texas does not have jurisdiction over your application, but in Virginia.

Just received Biometric Appointment Notice today 07/17 and was scheduled for Fingerprint on 07/29.

I have a quick question. I will have a College Exam on that day. Is it possible if I can walk-in and get it done earlier?

05/16/13 - Arrived at GUZ and impromptu notice on the front it was closed.

08/08/14 - Mailed I-175 application.

08/11/14 - I-175 arrived at VSC.

08/18/14 - Received NOA1 with date 08/12/14.

08/27/14 - Received biometrics appointment for 09/09/14.

02/27/15 - GC in production from email notification.

03/02/15 - Received NOA2 with approval dated 02/25/15.
