Wow, we finally got an email saying the interview was scheduled on Jan 12th for one of our family members (the one which was placed in line in August). It took Detroit office exactly 5 months to do this. The other two family members are still waiting to get in line... Whoever wrote ...15... in the table overestimated our field office big time.

Forgot to update. Had the interview on 01/07. Got there 30 mins before interview, waited for an hour, interviewed for 15 mins, then waited another hour for the oath letter. The interview itself was easy and very relaxed. Oath was scheduled for Thurs, 01/14. The letter instructed us to be there by 7AM but my friend, who took the oath a month before at the same location, told me that at her ceremony they were still allowing people to enter up to 930 so I can come in a bit late. I came in at 9 and was seated 10 mins later. The ceremony started at 10AM sharp. I believe there were 1,005 people who took the oath that day (no wonder Houston office is so slow). The whole thing was done in an hour. Please update my timeline and thanks for all the wonderful advice.

I have my oath ceremony tomorrow and I came back from Mexico yesterday!. I am gratefull they gave me this date. Is anyone going to have their ceremony tomorrow in Fairfax? Also which documents should I bring besides the green card, oath letter and mexican passport?

Congrats! Yes take your passport with you so they can see how long you have been away after your interview in correspondence to the questions on the Oath letter about travelling!

Congratulations! Seattle has been one of the slowest offices for years now!

I just wanted to make sure that you know that in most cases, the N600 is optional. If your child lives with you and is a permanent resident under age 18, then he probable became a citizen the moment you took the oath. You can use your naturalization certificate, his birth certificate, and his greencard to apply for his U.S. Passport.

If he doesn't get an N600 then he will need your naturalization certificate if he ever needs to prove the date he became a U.S. Citizen (there are very few times when he might need to do this). With an N600 he'll have his own certificate of citizenship (but it's not cheap).

I had my oath ceremony yesterday, they just asked for the greencard and questionaire. It was a very nice ceremony, better than I thought.

Does anyone prepare bank account statement for the past 5 years during the interview? I am thinking to ask an officer in the bank to print all of them out for me, but I'm afraid they will want to kill me......

You don't need to show bank statements if you are applying under 5 year rule. If based on 3 year eligibility, then you just need a few random statements (pick 3-4 statements per year) which you can print from your online bank account unless you are with a very small bank or credit union which does not provide this feature.

You don't need it, unless they asked you to bring it in the interview letter..

Hi, guys!

After an1 hour interview at Saint Louis office of 12/21/2015 I received a leter that "decision cannot be made". No RFE received until on January 20 I got my Oath letter for 02/17/2016.
