Did you receive the letter, when is your interview scheduled ?.

Thank you!, My interview was scheduled for November 18th. From what Newbie said, 3 weeks after that is when I have my flight for my oath ceremony, I dont know if it will be 3 or 5, but do you think I should ask them after my interview if my oath can be after my trip? If I am accepted of course! Or should I just wait for the letter, the problem is that If I travel I will not see the letter!

Any thoughts on how to do this?

Hello my friends, let me tell you something about my interview.

My scheduled interview time was at 8:35AM on 10/22. I had breakfast in a Starbucks near USCIS NYC office around 7:15AM, walked into USCIS building around 7:45AM, security check was about 1 minute, for there wasn't many people at that time, and I brought a zip bag with some papers and necessary documents, a pen, a wallet, and an iPhone only. Yes, smartphone is allowed to bring with you at NYC field office, and even allowed to be used while waiting, just don't use it when having interview of course.

After taking elevator to the 8th floor, getting to the waiting room, and checking in, a long wait began. There were about 40 people in the room, I saw a friend of mine checked in around 8:25AM, sent to another floor, at 9:40, he sent me a text saying he's all done, and I kept waiting. IO came to call my name around 9:50AM. Well, just want to let you know, delay is normal, don't panic.

IO was nice and cute, she first read my profile and asked me some questions from the application form I filled, then some questions about my background, then had me done English test by writing and reading, and civil test by answering orally. IO then asked me about a case I mentioned in the application form that I was cited by police. On one of the Notice of Action papers, it clearly said that if traffic penalty is under $500, then I don't need to provide any document. Mine was $75, so it wasn't a big deal. I wasn't recommended for approval on the spot, IO said that she needs to take my case to her supervisor for further review, and it might take up to 6 weeks to send out the result mail, but she thought I'll be fine.

She was right. On 10/27, my case was sent to her supervisor for further review, and on 10/30 afternoon, I checked myUSCIS and found that the title had changed to "Oath Ceremony Notice was Mailed" following by "We scheduled your oath ceremony blah blah blah", I guess...no, I'm pretty sure I passed the interview, weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my friends, let me tell you something about my interview.

My scheduled interview time was at 8:35AM on 10/22. I had breakfast in a Starbucks near USCIS NYC office around 7:15AM, walked into USCIS building around 7:45AM, security check was about 1 minute, for there wasn't many people at that time, and I brought a zip bag with some papers and necessary documents, a pen, a wallet, and an iPhone only. Yes, smartphone is allowed to bring with you at NYC field office, and even allowed to be used while waiting, just don't use it when having interview of course.

After taking elevator to the 8th floor, getting to the waiting room, and checking in, a long wait began. There were about 40 people in the room, I saw a friend of mine checked in around 8:25AM, sent to another floor, at 9:40, he sent me a text saying he's all done, and I kept waiting. IO came to call my name around 9:50AM. Well, just want to let you know, delay is normal, don't panic.

IO was nice and cute, she first read my profile and asked me some questions from the application form I filled, then some questions about my background, then had me done English test by writing and reading, and civil test by answering orally. IO then asked me about a case I mentioned in the application form that I was cited by police. On one of the Notice of Action papers, it clearly said that if traffic penalty is under $500, then I don't need to provide any document. Mine was $75, so it wasn't a big deal. I wasn't recommended for approval on the spot, IO said that she needs to take my case to her supervisor for further review, and it might take up to 6 weeks to send out the result mail, but she thought I'll be fine.

She was right. On 10/27, my case was sent to her supervisor for further review, and on 10/30 afternoon, I checked myUSCIS and found that the title had changed to "Oath Ceremony Notice was Mailed" following by "We scheduled your oath ceremony blah blah blah", I guess...no, I'm pretty sure I passed the interview, weeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Lionlies. Just a quick question..how did you know "On 10/27, my case was sent to her supervisor for further review," Does it indicate somewhere online?

@mananto, thank you. Yes, it does indicated on myUSCIS, all the changed status I mentioned in my post was from myUSCIS website.
