Hi,

I passed my interview this morning in San Jose. Interviewer was pleasant. first he swore me and went through my application. the only thing he wanted to see was my passport, green card and DL. I sent a lot of proof of our marriage in the application so he didn't want to see anything else(but a brought heaps with me anyway). then we moved to the testing and he asked the following:

1. When was the declaration of independence?

2. Who lived here before the immigration from Europe?

3. Who is the speaker of the house?

4. What do we call the first ten amendments to the constitution?

5. Name 1 of the longest rivers in the US?

6. We elect a president for how many years?

Then he asked me to read a sentence and write - " Who was Abraham Lincoln" and write "Abraham Lincoln was the president during the civil war". I passed all and he congratulated me. he said that I will get a letter for the oath in 2-3 weeks, I asked him how many Oath ceremonies are going to be in November and he mentioned that there are going to be at least 3 in San Jose since in October they didn't have any because of the end of the fiscal year and they are having difficulties in finding a venue for it.

Phew....

Good Morning everyone)

Just had my interview this morning in the Kansas City Field Office. The interview went great, the officer was a nice guy in his thirties. He swore me in, asked me to read a statement and write down the answer. Then he asked me six questions from the test, I got all of them right. I don't remember the questions though. After that he went through my application, asked if I wanted to make any changes, which I did. I got a part time job recently so I needed to update that. I applied under the three year rule, so he went over some documents that I send with the application, which were three years of tax returns and apartment leases we had since we got married. I only gave him a renewed lease since we resigned it in September, he did not ask for anything else, although I brought a bunch of stuff with me. He took a look at my passports, and at my husbands passport and his naturalization certificate(he moved here from Russia when he was 4), and then he said that he recommends me for approval! All in all it was a very good interview. I was nervous because I had a few issues, but he did not seem to care about any of them. Now I'm just waiting for my oath letter!
