I want to know USCIS actually put me "In Line For An Interview" after they complete checking my background with FBI and change my status Online, or they will base on the Priority Date on the NOA to schedule an Interview for me. Or how do they set up an interview for me. Any idea?

You have already been put in line for an interview. This happens when the background checks are back. They may take 48 hours to months depending on complexity, As for being scheduled for interview, it depends on how busy your field office is and I see you are in Houston. It has been experiencing delays so cant really tell.

it has been almost 1 month since i did my biometric but I still have not yet received an email saying i am in line. Is it normal? i heard it only takes a couple of days for them to do background check and name check and i should be expecting an email after after they finish checking. I live in Los Angeles and sent my file to Phoenix, AZ.

Did you file under the 3 or 5 year rule? If five year rule, then you will receive your email on 9/7/2015 or 9/8/2015 since there is a holiday on Monday.

I've read that they are considering 3 year anniversary of your GC.

My case ;

I have my GC since 10/11/2012

So that I sent my application in the beginning of 90 days 07/14/2015

I had my bio in August but they can't set up an interview because I still didn't have my 3rd year anniversary of my GC.

The rule is you can't have oath ceremony unless you have fulfilled 3 years of your GC

So don't worry at all. I am in the same boat.

If you applied 5 year rule, then you have to fullfill 5 years with your GC

I am really happy for everyone who got their notices but I have seen a weird trend- some people get notices within a week or so and others just wait. It happens sometimes that those who got notices quick get before of other in the same office who are before them. Does somebody know how the "line" moves - is it just the date of fingeprinting query or sth else taken into consideration - like availability of the A file in the local office. I have my A file and I saw an email from IO to supervisor who asks for rapsheets of a bunch of people - and it was saing " as per 10-4-11 fbi query " so it seems it is the fingerprinting date still some people just jump in front of the line while others wait.

Hello,

I just checked my status online and found out my interview was scheduled. Here is what the website said: On September 3, 2015, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number XXXXX. We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I will keep you posted about my interview date. Thank you!

This being in line thing sucks! I'd rather just get a date even if it's months away, but at least I would know when! I'm tired of waiting games!

Relax, you are from Sweden, the best country in the world. And it looks just like Alaska, but with better-looking towns and villages. Unlike others who are fleeing repressive regimes, corrupt societies or sucky Third World poverty, you have other options, including a passport that can get you into pretty much any country in the world without a visa. Count your blessings :-)

haha this made me laugh ...but it is not about where we come from - we build a life here, for a long time and the mere thought your life, the one that you built can be questioned and your morality and trips - it is just nerve wrecking experience for it seems a lot of us. we are still the privileged ones to be here, waiting for this step but honestly i can not wait someone not to have a say on where I am going to live, work, simply exist. I think the feeling will be like i was no longer required to go on the line for passports other than in europe - it is just a kind of freedom, one you long for and sacrficed for a long time. freeedom with many responsibilities and rights. i can wait for the wait to be over.
