Just want to update you guys about other cases not related to mine.

So out of curiosity, I have added other cases (not my cases) to my USCIS track list....

e.g. my case was EAC########03, I added other cases that are in the same category as me (CRI89) EAC########05, EAC########08, etc so I can see what's the progress for a similar case during a similar time frame.

It appears that a case that was 6 digits behind me (+6) was approved today (the case with EAC#########09)

I don't know if this means anything as I was not able to confirm if the case was submitted to CA or VT. The only information that I found for the case was that the case was received on Jun 22nd 2015 and was approved on Jun 7th 2016.

I hope this is helpful to other people who are anxiously waiting.

@RiceCake: Merci :)

Over the past 2 weeks, I've been trying to book an appointment on the USCIS InfoPass website for the New York Field Office. Unfortunately, this was without success. My lawyer said I should just walk-in and request an emergency appointment considering the challenges with their system. It was not successful: emergency appointments for the NY Field Office are only for emergency travels (death in the family).

Has anyone in NY city had a similar issue? How do you get the I-551 stamp (I need this for my employer, otherwise I'll lose my job)?

Many thanks

Appointments are updated every evening - I started checking from 5 or 6 pm onwards eastern time without much success. Then I finally managed to make my appointment about 22:30 when some appeared. There also seems to be another shift of availability around midnite I think - perhaps cancellations being dumped into the system?

S***ty availability of appointments is not just a NY office thing!

Also, remember that you don't have to do it at your local office.

I was having the same issue with the NY office and I was headed to California for a few weeks, so I successfully made one in advance for when I was there.

If you are travelling anywhere in the next few weeks you could try that method.

CR1 / DCF (London): 2012 / 2013 (4 months from I-130 petition to visa in hand)

I-751 #1- April 2015 [Denied]

April 2015 : I-751 Joint filing package sent fedex next day 09:00am from UK ($lots - thanks).
Jan 2017: Notification that an interview has been scheduled at a local office. Bizarrely still no RFE...
Jan 2017: 2hr wait, then interview terminated before it began, due to moving my ID to another state 2 wks prior. New interview 'in a few months...maybe.'   Informed them that divorce proceedings are underway, but not finalised at this time.
March 2017: An Interview was scheduled - marked as no-show as they didn't actually send out a notification of interview. FML
April  2017: Filed an official complaint with the ombudsman, and have requested Senator & Congressman assistance
August 2017: Interview - switched to a (finalised) divorce waiver. Told that decision will be made that afternoon, but no problems foreseen with my case.
October 2017: Letter of Denial received - reason given as 'I-751 petition was not properly filed'. Discovered ex-spouse made false allegations to USCIS in 2015. No opportunity given to review & refute allegations  - contrary to USCIS policy.

I-751 #2 - Oct 2017 - Mar 2021[Denied]

October 2017: Within 72hrs of receiving denial notice, a new waiver I-751, divorce decree & $680 cheque, sent to Vermont via FedEx overnight 9am priority.
Dec 2019: Filed FOIA request for full A# file
Feb 2020: FOIA request completed - entire A# file received as a .PDF; 197 pages fully redacted, and 80 partially redacted. Don't waste your time!
March 2021: I-751 #2 denied for lack of evidence. No RFE, no interview, and evidence in previous I-751 not reviewed - contrary to policy. Huge errors in adjudication.

N-400 - Feb 2018 - Apr 2021 [Denied]

February 2018: N-400 filed online.  $725 paid to the USCIS paperwork wastage fund

February  2019: Interview - cancelled after a four hour wait due to 'missing paperwork' on their end. Promised Expedited reschedule.

March 2021: Interview letter received, strangely dated after I-751 denial. No I-751 interview conducted. N-400 interview and test passed, given 'cannot make a decision at this time' paper due to the ongoing I-751 nightmare...

April 2021: N-400 denial received citing recent I-751 denial as basis for ineligibility, even though it should have been a combo interview 🤯

I AM JACK'S COMPLETE LACK OF SURPRISE

Service Motion - March 2021 [Sent via FedEx & COMPLETELY IGNORED by USCIS]

March 2021: Service Motion request sent overnight addressed direectly to field office director, requesting urgent review and re-opening, based on errors in adjudication - citing USCIS policy, AFM and memorandums as basis for errors. This was completely ignored by USCIS.

 I-751 #3 - June 2021 - Jan 2024 [Denied]

IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY

June 2021: I-751 #3 (30+lbs/5000 pages of paperwork) & another $680 sent to USCIS via FedEx ($300+..thanks) ....

June 2021: Receipt issued, card charged, biometrics waived, infopass scheduled for I-551 stamp number ten.....

Feb 2022: RFIE (no, not an RFE, a Request For Initial Evidence) received, for copies of the divorce paperwork that they already have 😑

July 2022: Infopass for I-551 stamp number eleven.....

August 2023: Infopass for I-551 stamp number twelve....

January 2024: Denial received, ignoring the overwhelming majority of the filing, abundance of evidence, and refutation of a provably false allegation. The denial also contradicts itself in multiple places, as if it was written by someone with an IQ <50.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

2024: FML. Seriously. I'm done.

That's very encouraging ctracker!! EACs are VT cases. CA case numbers start with WAC. Hopefully you will hear the good news very very soon.

Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I was able to book an appointment yesterday.

@ctracker: Seems like all the delays are for the NY area. The other topics (August 2015) continues to show progress. But: hopefully today is your day! :dancing:

Hi everyone, just wanted to add my case to the list. I received the letter today stating that my case was approved and I will receive my GC in approximately 60 days. I filed my case on July 1, 2015, my bio was done on July 30, 2015, and the case was approved on June 08, 2016.

A few notes - I moved this year and updated my address online in Feb. Since I haven't heard any updates, I called them last week in regards to whether or not they received my change of address, and are there any updates for my case. The lady was really nice and she transferred me over to an officer. They had the automatic call back system and I wasn't sure if the officer would call me back at all. A gentleman called me back in about 2 hours, and explained to me that they have received my change of address request and they should be making decision for July 2015 very soon. He was kind and patient and told me not to worry about anything. If by any chance I don't get a decision by the end of August, call them and get a extension for employment or travel purpose, because according to him, "it's not your fault to cause the delay."

I wasn't sure if the call expedite the process or the decision was coming anyway, I received the letter today. Best luck to you all, all July 2015 filters should be cleared soon.

Am also a July filer but at Califonia. My case is on processing hold. I really don't understand and believe their so called processing hold. It was only put on hold after 10months of applying. Anyway I have no choice than just to wait and allow them to exercise their bureaucracy. If I dont hear from them by 3 weeks time, I will file for n400 while my i751 is pending . Does any of you have anything to say to this
