Just wanted to give a quick update:

I knew when we filed that we would get an RFE (pending court case, has since been resolved). It finally came in the mail yesterday, woohoo! I was getting worried. It is dated Feb 24, 2016, and we have until May 18 to respnd (but it won't take that long!).

Just relieved to have heard *something* !! I'm also glad that the evidence we sent seems to have been sufficient (I was worried it wouldn't be). Haven't seen an RFE for that kind of stuff....at least not yet !!

Hey guys! I really need your advice. So immigration asked for lease agreement on both our names. We don't have it due to lack of a good credit. Any ideas how to write explanation letter? Thanks!!!

My husband is not on the lease for our apartment. They would not add him when we moved in, as he was not a permanent resident and then when he received his 2 year greencard, his credit still was not established, so they would not add him still. We are now in the process of looking to buy a house or condo, so we don't have him added, as it will "change" the lease terms and stick us with another year in this apartment.

What we did (for both AOS and ROC) was have the apartment management company write a letter with a current date stating he has lived at the apartment. For ROC we included both letters and awe also included a statement with the explanation above. We had no problem with AOS (had interview) and n ow are just waiting for his ROC to be approved.

You can start filing up to 90 days period time frame (before the 3rd anniversary date). We are just so ready to file this once we hit that period so we can start our future plans like studying, house loan (better rates since Credit union offers only for USC in my place) etc

Yes as long as you've reached that 90 days BEFORE your 3rd year anniversary when you file it. Just make sure you've filed I-751 first and not jumped to N400. You will also include all the letter you've received when you removed conditions (that's if your application has not been touched, still on process or no decision). It will help to speed up your process.

This is what is confusing me

Have there been any recent approvals for California or any at all for Vermont? We are thinking we probably won't hear anything until May being a Vermont filer.

now.. we are waiting for the 3 year mark.. of marriage as a Perm Res.. so she can get Citizenship

but.. she may wait.. since there is not rush
