Got an RFE because financial evidence did not cover entire length of marriage... not sure what I am supposed to do since the first 10 months of our marriage we lived in Japan where there are no co-credit cards/bills/rent/etc. :(

Same what happened to me. Put to envelop affidavit from 2-3 people who have known you as a couple and explanation letter why you didn't have financial stuff. Don't worry so much. It has to work out, the worst thing could be they can invite you for an interview. I did same as I advised you and a week or so I was approved

Hello everyone!

I've been waiting for i-751 approval and decided to call them yesterday. The man I spoke to helped to file request (to speed up i-751 :clock: ). My case is pending for 7 month 3 weeks. After that call I've got a letter today from USCIS requesting for evidence. My case takes so long and now RFE:( I wish everyone, whose case is still pending , to get an approval. And if someone wants to travel abroad with expired GC and extension letter, it is totally fine (just did my trip and came to US with no problem)

RFE letter received today. Asking for financial proof.

Like others here, we dont have shared bank accounts and credit cards.

I guess its time to put our names together on these accounts.

Also asking for bills with both names? Most electric, internet and tv dont allow two names. So what can be done to satisfy this requirement?

Hello everyone,

My attorney has filled the form I-751 along with G-28 (my authorization for representative) in October-2015 at Vermont center. I have got an appointment of Bio-matrix in the next month, i.e. November. Recently, I inquired through my attorney as I didn't get a single update since the day of bi-matrix. We got response from USCIS that G-28 form didn't filled properly and need to submit again.

I don't understand it. Also, Should I get rid of any representative (attorney) at this stage.

Thank you in advance,

Hi there,

I would not worry about it as I had the same problem and came to know from USCIS tier 2 officer (while inquiring about the delay in getting biometric notice) that my G-28 form was not showing in their online system so my attorney had to resubmit the G-28 again, In fact my attorney never received the receipt notice or biometric notice either and only got my approval notice however I got all 3 of them. Ideally both you and your attorney should get a copy of everything from USCIS so as long as one of you are getting them, you should be okay,. Also, I did not get any notice for good 4 months after the biometric and then got my approval from CSC center and since you are VSC filer, it might take little longer for you. Hope this helps,

Thank you so much for clearing my doubts. Just to clear my thoughts, so I/my attorney need to resubmit G-28 form as asked in the updatation from immigration??

It needs to be submitted by your attorney. In my case, my attorney re-sent it to USCIS.
