What was your RFE about? what documents were you missing?

They wanted to see "financial co-mingling" for the duration of our marriage. Unfortunately, we didn't have a joint bank account up until recently. Back in November, we did purchase a car together so I have the loan documentation for that vehicle, and I listed my husband as the full beneficiary of my life insurance since last August. So hopefully that goes back far enough for them. On our cover letter I explained that we didn't take out many loans or credit cards together in the beginning, because we wanted to live within our means and not accumulate debt early on.

Any thoughts?

We don't have joint bills either, because my husband didn't want me to have bad credits like he did. So we are responding RFE today and adding explanation why didn't do that.

Hello guys. New to VJ.

So my wife abd i filed for i-751 on july as well.

Uscis received it on july 13.

Did all the requirements and completed biometrics on aug 10.

Havent heard anything yet.

How do i request an e-inquiry? Only thing i see the is for form i-751 receipt number which does not work when search for.

The only theing that works is the second number recieved from biometrics.

But thy number is not valid for e-inquiry.

Any thoughts?

With I-751, everybody receives TWO receipt numbers: One is the number that came with the initial extension letter, which actually tells us that the number will NOT work for online tracking--you'd have to wait for the 2nd number on the Biometric Notice.

Nevertheless, the 2nd number from the Biometric Notice doesn't work for e-request either--that should prompt you to go back and try the 1st number, which WILL work if the website let you submit the request. I said that because the fact that we think it's beyond the processing time doesn't count. USCIS received my application on August 5; it's been more than 6 months, but their website still won't accept my e-request, so I filed an inquiry by phone today.

Just like any phone customer service system, it's mostly automated, but you have the option to speak with a real person, who usually don't have more to offer than what you can get yourself online.

Nevertheless, they can transfer you to a higher tier officer who MIGHT have more info or at least can file an inquiry for you. You should know that even if you successfully file an e-request, you'll still have to wait for a response. A Phone inquiry's response usually comes in 2 weeks.

I filed a phone inquiry back in September, because it'd been a month and I hadn't received my biometric notice. Within 2 weeks, I was told via e-mail that the Application Support Center I'd go to for biometrics was busy at the time--I eventually received the notice and did my biometrics in October.

Requestinf via phone? Is that an automated sysyem or a real person that youll be talking to?

If a real person, what information do they have on their system? Based on your aug application?
