Good morning everyone! It seems that everyone has been running late to the morning thread. I don't usually get to post on here during the week bc I don't leave myself much time in the mornings. It's been nice to be here these past couple of mornings. Don't have to go into the office until 1pm, so I slept in a little. I do believe spring is someone where nearby. Yesterday afternoon was so nice. Off to get some morning caffiene and get my blood flowing.

Looks like a warm day today and the rest of the week . . . then they are predicting severe thunderstorms for SATURDAY, when I am supposed to take off. LOL, TG that my connecting flight in Frankfurt is about 5 hours later instead of the 1 1/2 hour that it usually ends up being.

Sooooooooooooooooo much to do . . . packing, cleaning, WORKING, hehe!!

Have a good day everyone!

Word of warning to future travellers---never tell anyone you are going till it is the day you leave unless you want to carry gifts and money for every relative that is already here. Ok, I'm being dramatic (ya think?) but so many of Mohammed's friends and family here have asked him to 'just take this bag to my family, just take this $500 and give it to my cousin'....and the list goes on. I don't have room for my own stuff no less gifts for everyone elses family. Chill Jackie, breathe and be pleasant.

I started shopping for the 11 kids last month. (thanks Kelly!) and this Friday & Saturday I will finish up for his sisters gifts. I am making each a photo album of pictures from Mohammed's first 2 years in America. They are also getting makeup and hair clips. One of his sisters had a baby girl last week and will be 10 days old when we get there. mashallah. Will somebody tell me to go pack and get off VJ for an hour?

Jackie - I hear ya except all the stuff Youssef is taking is for his own family. I told him we should start shopping around October of last year so that we didnt' have to buy tons of stuff right now. (yea right). Well there's his 11 nieces and nephews, 5 sisters and brother in laws, his dad's first wives family, assorted friends of his and his mom, his mom, etc. etc. Seriously I don't know how he's going to take anything for himself and I"m pretty sure we'll be paying for extra weight. Each of the kids got a rain coat and a hoodie. Little kids got beanie babies, bigger boys got hats and yu gioh cards, girls got makeup stuff and an extra shirt. It's nuts really. He has liek 11 bottles of perfume in his suitcase too, ooh and the 36 bars of soap, shampoos and conditioners, various medicines etc. Crazy I'll be repacking this weekend.
