Unless your AOS is approved and you have a green card, if you travel outside the country, you may be refused re-entry. Furthermore, your application can be thrown out the window.

Do not leave the US without an AP! I can't stress the importance of this enough. It's not worth that week, is it?

Applying for an AP at this point shouldn't be too difficult; you'd just have to submit the form, although I do not know if you would be required to take the biometrics again. If you are set on going, you could possibly file an emergency AP (depending on the situation; attending a funeral is one thing, lazing around the Bahamas quite another).

How long will it take from biometrics to an interview date is completely up to USCIS. There is no single guideline on the time period. Some couples go through in 4-6 months. Some have waited two to three years. It all depends on your application, your district office, how busy the agents are, the position of the moon in space... Okay, just kidding on the last. :) No one here can tell you how soon it will be.

Your best bet if you want to know: keep an eye on other people who have filed to the same district office as you. For example, several people in Miami, Denver, Seattle and Philadelphia all received notices for their interviews around the same time. Check their filing dates, and you may see similarities. This is not a perfect system but it is about the best you will get short of maybe having a lawyer able to contact the district office directly.

Yes, if you have already filed for AOS, you can apply for AP. You may or may not get the AP papers before July. And there is no appointment for AP, if you are approved the papers come directly to you in the mail.

jahmed,

If there is an emergency that requires you to travel immediately, you may apply for an expedited AP at your district office.

I tried to check for more details about your status but you don't have that much info posted. Please note that if you have any overstay of over 6 months, it is recommended that you don't travel overseas on an AP.
