Hi everybody,

Everything went ok with the interview, unfortunately we were entered into the FBI name check limbo. Here is a bit of what happened before and during the interview:

- We got to USCIS building at 1:10pm (appt was scheduled for 1:30)

- Our lawyer met with us there at around 1:20

- We were called up at around 1:45

The officer was rather quiet and did not make direct eye contact with us, although he did exchange some words with our lawyer. Both me and my wife are tall and as soon as we walked into his office he made a joke about how we were either very tall or he was shortening...To which our lawyer told him it was him who was getting shorter. je je je..

Anyway, the "interview" was extremely casual. At the beginning he spent some 5-10 minutes going through his own paperwork and could not find my fingerprint/fbi stuff. When he finally found them he said the fingerprints were OK, but that he didn't have the result from the FBI name check. It was sad to know that we were now in that category, but we knew there was a big possibility of that happening. Fortunately I still have my K3 for another 3 full years so it won't be that bad to wait for the GC.

He then proceeded to ask where we had met. Then joked around with our lawyer for another 10 minutes; then asked me if I had ever had any problems with the law or immigration, to which my answer was no. He also asked my wife (usc) where she worked and what she did there. That's pretty much it.

He was funny and nice. He barely looked at our paperwork and pictures. He said he didn't want to look at our pictures because he would get depressed of looking at fun vacation pictures while he is sitting bored in his desk.

We were "approved" and out of the USCIS building by 2:20

I also just got my EAD today in the mail, so we are good to go for now
