I wonder what they mean by certified copy of Marriage certificate? It has to be done at notary?

You can usually purchase a certified copy from the office/court where you obtained your original marriage certificate.

We purchased several just in case at the time of our marriage. You may be able to get them by mail as well, but I am not sure.

That's exactly correct. Whatever governmental agency is responsible for issuing your marriage license is where you need to go. That is the official certified marriage certificate they are talking about. We got three extra just in case.

Ya, just get it from the country clerk office - it's usually just a photocopy with their seal on it to deem it a ligitamate copy. I got a couple and sent one with my AOS application.
