Visiting visa to Canada from Philippines

Hi everybody!

Im a new member and im glad to have found this site since my bf and I are eagerly wanting to get an answer of how to start this whole application.

Ok, here's our situation.. He;'s been living here for 2 years, and we're together for a year now (not married yet). He will have a job in Japan this April, and we planned to take the summer vacation on July in Canada this year, to meet his family. And i will be moving to Japan with him after a month after he gets settled there, i.e May. We're thinking where should we apply for the visiting visa for Canada. Here in Phils? or in Japan?...

And i'll have to apply a visa for japan too.. anyhow we think that this is easy with his contract there.... Too much work, but will be worthwhile when we're together.

I hope you can help us with this.. any advice will be appreciated.
