Hey guys, i know all of you know all the information regarding this. But I need to know exactly where to start.

I got married on February 10, 2006 and I'm only filing for a petition now. I am an american citizen, my husband is in the philippines and he's never gotten a visa to the US before. He applied back maybe 15 years ago, but got denied. I would like to know if the K-1 visa is best or CR-1 visa. My goal is to get him here quicker. As far as time lines are concerned I heard that CR-1 is faster. but i know that you guys all know the real deal, so what is your advise.

02/28/2007 - Sent I-130 Package to CSC via Overnight USPS

02/29/2007 - CSC received Package

03/08/2007 - Check for $190.00 cleared

03/06/2007 - Date of Notice for NOA1 I-129F

03/12/2007 - Touch! on I-130 (First!)

03/14/2007 - Received NOA1 for I-130 in mail

03/15/2007 - Sent I-129F Package to Chicago Lockbox via Overnight USPS

03/16/2007 - Chicago Lockbox received Package

03/20/2007 - Date of Notice for NOA1 I-130

03/22/2007 - Check for $170.00 cleared

03/23/2007 - Received NOA1 for I-129F Package in mail

[Case is at the National Benefits Center (MSC)]

04/05/2007 - I-129F Case transfered to CSC

04/09/2007 - TOUCH! on I-129F (First Ever!)

04/10/2007 - Received Transfer to CSC Notice in Mail

04/25/2007 - E-mail from CRIS - case pending in CSC

04/26/2007 - Touch! on I-129F

04/27/2007 - Touch! on I-129F

after MONTHS of waiting...

07/31/2007 - APPROVED on I-130 (Email from CRIS)

07/31/2007 - Touch! on I-129F

07/31/2007 - APPROVED on I-129F (Email from CRIS late during the evening)

FINALLY!!!! THANK GOD!!!!!

It's sad that I check my CSO more than 3 times a day... I just can't wait for my husband to be here...

after you filed the CR1 application, you can apply for a K-3 Visa for him. the K-3 is supposed to be faster than cr1 route

I applied for CR1 for my wife and will apply for a K-3 once VCS sends me a NOA.

  • 03/10/2008 - EAD NOA1 (Notice Date 3/4/08)
  • 03/22/2008 - Biometrics Complete
  • 04/30/2008 - EAD Approved. "Card production ordered" - Notice via USCIS
  • 05/09/2008 - EAD Card Received. Applied for SSN#.
  • 06/02/2008 - AOS Interview - AOS approved!!
  • 06/20/2008 - GREENCARD in hand

I-751

  • 03/09/2010 - Mailed I-751 to Vermont Service Center. Delivered 3/10 12PM. Check posted 3/15
  • 03/17/2010 - NOA Received
  • 06/01/2010 - Green-card Production ordered
