He also says, if you read it, that they are not guaranteed protection if they fail to issue marriage licenses and that they will be subject to lawsuits. Did you read the article or just the headline?

He also has stated that they will be offered lawyers also.

I actually heard it on the news today, Greatness. You got to love Texas..........

Yes, they'll be offered lawyers, but he doesn't seem confident they'll win. And they won't win, because the rule is that freedom of religion means they must refer the individual that they cannot serve to someone who can. If no one can, then a lawsuit will take place and the depth of the person's faith will be investigated. I'm very willing to gamble that most of these people 'taking a stand' would fail that investigation.

I really have to give my respects to Texas.

The Attorney General has basically told he US Supreme Court regarding gay marriage to pack sand

I see Paxton being a key figure in Texas politics in the near future for his bold stand........

Looks like some Kentucky county clerks are not issuing marriage license to gays

http://www.kentucky.com/2015/06/29/3923157/some-kentucky-county-clerks-refusing.html

Kentucky law only allows marriage licenses to be issued for fathers and daughters, mothers and sons, sisters and brothers, and with a sworn affidavit, and witnesses 1st cousins.

I wouldn't worry much if I were you.

These are the same people who, for the same reasons, twitch their noses at the notion of interracial marriage and who would not have issued you with a marriage license unless the SCOTUS had told them so, back in 1967. Marriage equality began with Loving v. Virginia. The SCOTUS ruling of last week was only another installment.

Texas Attorney General says Clerks don't have to issue gay marriage licenses

Texas is still holding out, Got to love it
