I didn't understand your ans..

My understanding that you filled ds260 before documents was send.

What I gonna do will I complete ds260 after submit documents

my question is at what stage case is declared as completed?

DS260 reviewed...Documents received and acknowledged by NVC as completed. after that we received another email that Case completed or directly get an IV letter.

Well....still we are unknown when they will review DS260 and they cant tell us precisely.

Last week i spoke with them and have been informed that our DS260 has been escalated to supervisor review on 12 August and wait another 42 days...SERIOUSLY :ranting::ranting::ranting:

SusDan, I am in the same situation as my NVC process is going really bad :( What I assume is whenever someone ask for a Supervisor then the case will be delayed more because it will be moved out of the regular queue into the 42 day queue so my strong feeling is never ask for a Supervisor review. When I called the NVC few weeks back there is a very nice lady on the phone and I asked her what is the case status and she said NVC is missing my Wife's birth certificate and I told her that I sent it mam then she replied don't worry send an other copy and if it is escalated to the Supervisor it will wait for 42 days so you better send it right away so that by the time when they start review the DS-260 they will look into that mail too.

She said she can only look into basic information of the case but the Supervisor might see a little bit in detail and also she said the case review department is completely different from the Customer Care so these people doesn't know anything about the case.

DS260 reviewed...Documents received and acknowledged by NVC as completed. after that we received another email that Case completed or directly get an IV letter.

Case completed is when you pay all the fees and the NVC review all your documents (civil documents, DS260 and financial documents). As soon as your case is completed, the NVC will send the email to notify that. The IV letter is another email.

5/19/2014 - NVC receive my case and send me an email with Case #

2/26/2015 - DS261 completed

3/02/2015 - Received Welcome Letter & AOS invoice

3/03/2015 - pay AOS fee

3/17/2015 - AOS show PAID

4/10/2015 - Document package scan date

4/29/2015 - IV paid

5/7/2015 - Checklist

5/18/2015 - 2nd scan date

06/26/2015 - case complete

Can you tell me how many days required to get documents reviewed by NVC?

Case completed is when you pay all the fees and the NVC review all your documents (civil documents, DS260 and financial documents). As soon as your case is completed, the NVC will send the email to notify that. The IV letter is another email.

It takes at least 25 days but could take longer than that. If you get a checklist asking for another document then it might take you 2 to 3 months. I have seen people get a case complete in two weeks but this is because their date was current for a couple of months already.

Got CC Aug 17th and just received IL yesterday for sept 22nd :)

PD is Feb 19th 2014.

Priority Date: Feb 19th 2014

April 6th,15 - Received Welcome Letter with AOS Invoice

April 9th,15 - Completed DS-261 and paid AOS fee

April 16th,15 - AOS fee showed paid, IV invoice still missing

May 12th,15 - AOS and IV package sent in 1 package

May 18th,15 - Package received by NVC

June 16th,15 - Received IV invoice ( I had to give them a call for it), apparently it got delayed because I chose the petioner as agent in DS-261, weird.

Still couldn't pay IV fee because online system was down

June 23rd,15 - Received Checklist

July 9th,15 - NVC received IV fee by mail, showed paid and got access to DS-260

July 11th,15 - Completed DS-260

July 23rd,15 - Sent checklist package

July 27th,15 - Checklist package received by NVC

August 12th.15 - Called NVC for an update. Agent said all documents received and under review, 25-30 days required.

August 17th,15 - Case Complete, but nothing received. Found out by calling them on August 24th.

August 28th,15 - Interview Letter received by e-mail, scheduled for September 22nd.

Sept 22nd, 15 - Visa Approved

Sept 23rd, 15 - Visa status shows Issued

Sept 25th, 15 - Visa in hand, category changed to CR1 from F2A, wife became citizen few days before interview

Dec --. 15 - POE

Not sure.

Got checklist back in june and filed ds-260 on july 11th.

They received checklist documents on july 27th.

I called NVC on Aug 12th, agent said documents still under review, 25 to 30 days required.

Called again on Aug 24th. Agent told me case got complete on Aug 17th. I was surprised.
