2 Months since I received Form 1-797C...how much longer?

Hi VJ Family,

Hope everyone is well!

I have a question about time. It's been two months since I received Form 1-797C, Notice of Action. Basically telling me they received my petition and that's all.

- How much longer do I have to wait for the next step to come in?

- Should I call to see what's going on?

I've gone online to see the status but it remains the same. Please advice as to this!

Probably at least another 3 to 4 months wait depending on your service center.

Wowwwww!!!!!!!!!!! :crying: I had people telling me that in 6 months he would be approved! :sleepy:

Anywho, on the bottom of my letter it states that the USCIS Office Address is the Texas Service Center! I guess we have Texas, am I correct?

What are the first 3 letters of the case/receipt number that will tell where is was sent.

Yes that is true in about 6 months you should get approval from USCIS. Not a Visa Approval. You still have to get through NVC which is at least another 3 months and then another about 2 months waiting on your embassy for an interview. Sorry. All in all its about a 1 year process for you to prepare for.

You could be getting your ducks in a row and preparing your documents for NVC the next stage.
