Hi everyone! Me and my gf will be getting married next year and was wondering about any complications that could arise in the visa process from her DUI while she was working in the USA. She is Hungarian and other than the DUI has a spotless police record in Hungary and America. The case was resolved in the US and she had to do some community service and pay a fine but never had her visa taken away or limited after the incident. We are both now living in Hungary and planning on going back to America next year. As I understand it a DUI won't cause our marriage visa to be denied but I would like to be crystal clear on the issue. Also how do we get the police records from the US? Can they send them to hungary? Thanks for the information and advice!

Since she did her community service, one DUI should not be a major issue; she may get some extra questions at the medical.

No need for US police records, they can get their own, but you do need to declare it.
