Coffee - I love Nescafe and when I was in Boise with my partner and her family they got me hooked on the Keurig, but I had to have it with copious amounts of creamer (lovely stuff as well and a shame the UK doesn't have it) but it takes so long to make 2 cups of coffee its a pain. Her family was sniggering at my lack of a decent cup of java. Until she come over here and actually tasted it and seen how quick it was to make. She ended up taking two packs of the Nescafe refill stuff back over with her and got her family round to my way of thinking :) since then she has seen nescafe in world food stores... Along with HP sauce. You do pay a bit of a premium on it but its to be expected. Never did I think I would go to america and crave British stuff LOL.

One word of warning for the brits headed out there and if you ever come down with the flu or man flu/cold (gender depending) do not take NyQuill... My word that is some crazy stuff just ride it out as best you can.

Really? What don't you like about Nyquill? I stock-piled on the stuff the last time I was sick here. I didn't realize how unwell I was when I got back to the UK until I ran out and had to buy Lemsip and the like. I thought it was Kick-### good stuff :D

Regarding the Keurig, not all the machines are the same. The one we have brews the large carafes as well and it runs through pretty quickly. It probably takes about 20-30 seconds to brew a cup of coffee. I know you get different kinds of machine and don't know the specs of all of them, but my coffee has to be super hot. I have found Nescafe here, but only the cheap yucky red capped bottle and I didn't care for that in the UK so I haven't tried it here for comparison.

There are DIY K cups for the single serve or carafe version. You fill your own.

I have Tassimo and a Nespresso machine.

Enjoy your Keurig . Fookinell to the price. You need your java.

I've taken NyQuil. Has a lot of alcohol content.

NyQuil just turned my lips blue and then a huge bout of anxiety followed I was 20 years old I didn't even know what anxiety was lol

Single serve K cup things are what I had here but like you say in England we like our coffee hot I can only take my coffee boiling like straight from the kettle a splash of milk and three minutes later its gone.

One thing that I did have there and thought "Why on earth is this not available in England" was called Kank A+ and was for toothache worked more or less instantly. Its a gooey brown colour and it certainly doesn't smell all that. But when it takes away toothache I don't think your really that bothered unless you have a strange gag reflex

 Yeah, at close to $10 a day, I had to find another way to support my coffee habit to even the load. Lol!

Ah, perhaps that's why it tastes so good. Cheap thrills and all that :D

:D Not for the coffee then?

My favorite coffee is from the coffee island at the Wawa gas stations. Every time William goes to fill up with gas I get excited. Maybe we should just get more NyQuill ha ha

That's not foreign in this home. My husband doesn't drink coffee - or any hot drinks for that matter - so he doesn't understand firsthand my obsession with coffee, but he fully supports my cravings for the good stuff :)

Yeah, true, I know a few people who don't like coffee. The thing that gets most people here is that I don't like beer...the sister in law was determined to find something I'd like but so far it's been a fail! I'd be in a great place if I did though, loads of local breweries.

That's about right! I will say I don't mind mozzarella on pizzas...but if there's more cheese than tomato sauce on pizza then I find it gross.

Anyone having any issues with health insurance? I guess mine is a weird case. The husband was on his Mum's insurance, so now he's married he needs his own. He has a medical condition where he needs a specific drug so we've been working with some representatives to get the right health insurance. It's taken forever...we only just signed up so we almost missed out 60 day deadline. But if all goes well, our insurance will be paid for us, whoop whoop! Seems too good to be true, but the sister in law has been successful at it so we'll see.
