Hi

It depends...

If you have to get police clearances from multiple countries, I'd advise to start the process early as some PCC's may take time to reach. If you are applying for the PCC from the UK, the process is pretty fast (that was my personal experience). From the UK, you even have options to expedite by paying an additional fee.

You should also bear in mind that each step in the visa process may take time, sometimes weeks or months. The PCC's are usually valid for a year unless the expiration date is specifically mentioned. From the time the documents are submitted to NVC up until your visa interview, you would need a PCC that is still valid i.e. within the 1 year period to avoid unnecessary delays as they may ask you to get a renewed PCC.

Hope this helps.

Yes! Order it now. No need to expedite. It will come quickly. Here is a K1 list for London of other things to do now while your case makes it's way to the consulate. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide/

Your further instructions are here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html, but you are not to start them until your case has reached London.

Here's two people from TSC to follow as an example. Look at the detailed timeline in their signatures, not the posts, to get examples.

One was about 24 days from NOA2 email until letter from London. The other was closer to 32 days.
