That's terrible Amy...I am so sorry to hear that! What state are ya'll in? Here in Florida we have a ton of certification programs that make the transition to teaching easy! Has he looked into trying for certification in your state?

Yeah, we've looked into it. He needs to take almost a year more of classes and then get his certification.

A few years ago, I did some contract work for an outfit that was taken over by a woman who had lost her son in Afghanistan and was an anti-war activist. She had no qualms about expressing her hatred of Arabs and Muslims, saying she wanted to "pick them off " with a shotgun from a downtown building in the city center. It got so bad that several of her non-Arab staff quit. The anti-war movement is full of Ay-rab haters too, so I'm not surprised at what I hear about problems getting jobs.

Did you get the papers in the mail yet about his background check?

We haven't received the letter in the mail yet. Once we get it, darn tootin I will be figuring out what's going on. Hoping this is something simple that can be resolved quickly.

I am going to PM you the name and number of the company that did it for the Target by us. I would think it is the same nationally. Maybe you can call and say that you haven't received the letter and see if it can be expedited. PM'ing you now.
