I say it's time that Bush takes the fight to the Astroids before they bring it to us!

War on Asteroids.

This is all a little ironic to me - I watched When World's Collide on DVD last night, along with Forbidden Planet. I quite like those old B-Movies.

Old movies are the best, they really are.

I'd not seen Forbidden Planet since I was a kid, so I'm always a little reluctant to revisit childhood nostalgia in case it does meet my expectations. That said, Forbidden Planet really is a very good movie. When World's Collide was pretty good, but the central character was a bit of an arsehole.
