Hi,

I'm sending mine off tomorrow, and I haven't found it to be too difficult. The actual form itself (I-751) is only two pages. Griffin gave you lots of good info. So I would start a folder or a binder or a box now, start copying bills and the other things Griffin listed now, so you won't be scrambling in Sept.

You can actually file 90 days before your expiration date on your current greencard (Sept. 22, 2007?). This is why I'm mailing ours off tomorrow, tomorrow is 90 days before May 20, 2007 (when my husbands 2-year green card expires). Just make sure you don't send it before that 90 days, or they will just mail it back.

Good luck!

Thanks your the information.

off the top of my head this is what we have:

copy of my current green card

our rental agreement for the apts we've rented together

bank account statments

tax returns (we'll have them finished by the time we file)

my husbands in the military so I have a dependant ID card

I'm on his life insurance policy

car insurance & copy of both drivers lisence with same address on it

a few photo's of us together

I could get a a friend to write a statement for us.

do you think that would be enough? almost everything is in my husbands name except for a few things that are stated above...(that I can remember) I went crazy last time when we filed for my green card to get all the things we needed and she didn't want to see ANYTHING !!

Thanks again for everything

It's hard to say what is enough, for everyone it seems to be different. Remember though, in this case you have to actually mail in all the proof (I'm pretty sure last time we didn't mail it in, just brought it all to the interview?).
