hi! I am applying for my adjustment of status and 1 of the requirements in filling is I-864 affidavit of support, however my husband doesn't meet the required wage. We are presently living with his family , his father is a US citizen, can he help in sponsoring my application?what additional form will we apply?hope you can help, thank u

Hi, yes, his dad can help, we did the same, but other have to file I-864, separately, your husband will be the petitioner and his father, the only sponsor.

Yiur father in law n weds to make over the 125% so you don't need a joint sponsor and if he is retired and filled jointly, he will have to show his separate income than his wife.
