You know it! He probably sits there in his little bunker wondering why nobody will appreciate a young man taking a stand against black on white rape.

No probably to it. That's what he thinks. He just won't come out and say it out loud.

it's totally possible that just growing up in an environment where "lighthearted" racism is acceptable amongst peers was enough. that comment that one kid made regarding telling racist jokes and stuff is interesting to me.

I doubt it. Lighthearted jokes are one thing. At best you might get a side glance if you overstep. To commit murder on this scale? That's some pure hatred right there.

We had dudes on the ship that would do this. Crack jokes on other races of people are argue about white men being burdened. Never got the whole genocide vibe from them. I could be wrong, of course.

Sad sad day . This racist whack job is an animal.

My heart goes out to the families and victims .

It is almost as sad that so many of you on what we call the left are doing exactly what you claim to despise and take the moral high ground against. You are no different

As for Lib comment about national dialogue about rape or some such non sense. What a backwards innapropriate think to say at this time

That's all

First I'll commend you for your other comments. It's good to see people can put aside their differences and come together under a common theme and offer sympathy for the victims. Also for calling out Lib, bonus points.

But, you should be fair minded. Penny and those of us who have contributed to the thread in the same manner are just pointing out how the sentiments tend to change when the monsters aren't white. It's clear as day outrage is selective. Had this been a black against white crime, there would be more outrage than sympathy. And there would have been memes and countless references to Obama and black people as a whole. You know it just like I do.

Either you stand for all of it, or none of it. You can't use stats to back up your bigotry and then get upset when it's thrown back in your face. Maybe, if folks would just concentrate on the act, condemn it, and offer sympathy, these comments wouldn't fly. But when you stand by and let folks on what we call the right consistently drag minorities through the mud with inappropriate remarks and such, it's the same thing...

What exactly would that be? Try and be specific.

Looks like the hate groups don't even want to claim him, but it's disturbing to see what comments are being said though...

So they support this mass murder, right?

So they support this mass murder, right?

There seems to be a conflict. Some have actually come out and condemned the shooting:

"This is going to be really bad, I'm afraid," wrote WhiteNationhood in a discussion thread on the white nationalist site Stormfront. "Condolences to the families."

"Lets not make excuses when a person of our own race does something like this," added WhiteIsRight. "The guy was clearly a bad apple."

"We all condemn this sort of action," wrote sons of vengence. "We all despise it and think it cowardly. Make sure you write that on your next article about this incident!"

But the rest is what you'd expect. There are some who think black people engineered this incident to gain support or to take focus away from the Dolezal scandal.

That condemning wouldn't seem to count as they have not been out in the streets protesting against this act of one of theirs. You can always find comments online condemning acts of violence perpetrated by terrorists but that does never count either. Why the double standard?

Yes, that is the truly sad part... the rush-to-judgment regarding this kid's physical appearance. The real tragedy. Journalism took a big hit today.

I believe it was the action and not the weird picture that initially branded this kid a nutcase

Because that's how it goes when you're the majority in this country. Those groups are full of hatred, so I'd rather not see them out in the street. It's their ideology that breeds this kind of tragedy. The only reason they're condemning; it's not as well accepted as it used to be, they can be punished for it and they don't want that type of attention.

I don't think its a good idea to flip this scenario as people are doing. 99.9% of white supremacists are frankly horrible people. There is no point in asking about accountability.

That's why I'm not listening to them. I don't think anyone should have to denounce this. This was the actions of one sick, hateful human being(it's a stretch). And as such, I don't expect or want anyone to speak on it since he acted alone(as far as I can tell).

People offering their condolences is enough. They need all the strength they can get.

Pinckneys cousin told WAFF-TV that the gunman specifically asked for the reverend before Bible study and sat next to him before opening fire. The cousin says survivors told her that the gunman told them, You rape our women and youre taking over our country. And you have to go.

He clearly was upset at white women being raped by black men in this country . crimes that have been hushed up for too long in this country. Have we had a national discussion on this ?? No

I wanted so badly to believe that your initial comment on this was poorly written jest. Apparently not.
