How long does it take for AOS after K3?

Hi everyone! My wife just got her K3 visa, and I'm so happy!

And while I feel like an expert on K3 now, I haven't a clue when it comes to AOS! I have read the guides, but I can't find an answer to this question. How long does it take for the AOS process? I guess what I'm really trying to figure out is when we should apply. And what happens if everything isn't approved by the end of the 2 year K3 visa?

I'll be reading a lot more soon, but any help on this timeline would be very helpful right now!

AOS can take anything for a couple of months to a couple of years (or more). The important thing is that you can file for it whenever you like, even after your wife's K3 has expired, as any visa overstay is forgiven. Also as soon as AOS is filed, your wife is legal even if her visa expires. That said, you don't want to procrastinate too much, so if you want to maximise your chance that she will have her green card before her K-3 expires, you should file as soon as possible. Why wait after all?
