So I spoke to NVC today and according to them I never sent them my husbands civil documents, but I know I did. I sent it out with affidavit of support documents. They sent me an email confirming they received my package. So where the heck did it go between now and then? They want me to provide a tracking number from when I sent it, but I have no idea at the moment where that receipt with tracking number might be. If I can't find it, I really don't know what to do. I know I sent all that to them. Any ideas from someone who this happened to would help.

If they lost them you have no choice but to do it again. I am sure its around there somewhere. But its up to you if you want to redo and wait the time. It does happen a know a few people it has happeneed to. I have a friend who had to ssend her husbands police report 3 times. That means he had to go to the police station in Nigeria 3 times and pay and send to her. This was when we had to send originals just last year. A real mess.

Sorry for all your trouble.

Hi. This is happening to me. NVC claims that I did not send them my checklist response, though I have DHL proof of delivery. They asked me for the tracking number . I'm not sure what the outcome will be or how long they will take to find my missing mail. I will let you know. NVC is a mess! If I send the document again, the waiting period begins again.

I spoke to some really nice girl on the phone from there a few days after I found it and she told me that what they would do is like put an make a supervisor do an investigation, but that that takes if my mind serves me correct up to 4o days. She told me I was better off just sending them again, so I did. I really didn't want to, but what the heck.

Make sure you sent it to the correct address.

I am 100% sure that I sent it to the correct address. Especially because they say they have the other documents I sent with the civil documents. That's what really dumbfounded me. He tells me I never sent it. I said that was impossible, cause I sent it with the things they have.

I initially sent them an email complaining about it, but after speaking to a NVC worker who told me it might take months for a supervisor to open a case to investigate what happened I decided to send them again.

You were lucky to get someone to it so quickly.

thanks i emailed them as well, most probably I'll call them too but to be honest calling them really sucks, sometimes they make us wait for more than 45 mins.

Not so much luck.... I have a brother in law that works for the State Dept. he told me that the documents are there... A supervisor can do a document search from the mail room... I was also told the same nonsense as you were told about it taking so long.. That again is nonsense... You have to get by the first line of agents.... Most supervisors can have it completed in about 10 days.... This is the 4th time through the process for one thing or another... I hope it works out for you... Best of Luck
