How soon is too soon?

My 2 year conditional greencard runs out in October 2008. I have been married to my husband for over 2 years now. I was just wondering...it says file within 90 days of the 2 year conditional greencard expiring. But, can I file before then?

I'm afraid its the 90 days before your GC expires. If you had been married for 2 years when you got your GC, you would have got the 10 year card (I guess you were just a few months short - shame ) , but the fact that you are currently married for over 2 years doesn't change the conditions that 2 year card was issued under.

I have just been in for my biometrics to remove my temporary status. I originally filed to remove my temporary status early and had it returned to me, saying it i had to file within the 90 days of my green card expirying. No other issue, was in and out in 20 minutes, although waited 20 minutes in the snow, waiting for them to open the doors.

Why would you think you can file before that? Because you have been married for +2 years? That anniversary only matters at the point your status is adjusted to PR. If you became a PR on the day before your 2nd wedding anniversary, you would still be a Conditional resident for an additional 2 years.

You can only apply to remove conditions in the 90 days immediately before your Green Card expires.
