Clintons position is whatever she thinks will get her elected.

I find a lot of modern democrats behave like that. They seem to back the "noble cause" of the month..

I know that I am going to get flamed here but what else is new. :P

This is the main reason I tend to vote republican, not because I always agree with them but because of how most (not all of course) find their position on things.

Whether you agree/disagree, love/hate Bush and the republicans that are standing with him they have made their position from their own core values. They find what they believe in and stick with it. They win or lose by how many Americans agree with them.

The dems on the other hand always seem to be catering to all the various groups. The pander to the black vote, hispanic vote, the womens vote, the anti war vote, the pro illegal vote ect.ect.ect ad nausium. They don't have a set of their own values but it changes as they see the public opinions change. It's phoney and dishonest. Clinton is the biggest offender of them all. There are a few libs that do have a set of core values and stick with them. I don't agree with them but I do respect them. The others are not worth the powder to blow them to he!!.

very well said.. Something I learned a while back is that those who believe in everything, stand for nothing..

It is sad to think of that great speech, "And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country". Now he stood for something and that was his country.. Democrats nowadays would probably beat him up for saying stuff like that..

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Senator Larry ( Ahab ) Flint .....have mercy!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

"According to a Feb. 9-11 , 2007, Gallup Poll, Lincoln is back at No. 1 with Americans. Still, he holds this position based on responses from a fairly small percentage of the public. Eighteen percent of Americans today name Lincoln as the greatest U.S. president. He is closely followed by Reagan, with 16%, and John F. Kennedy, with 14%. Bill Clinton (13%) and Franklin D. Roosevelt (9%) round out the top five. "

Nader may have marginal chances now (he had negative chances earlier as he had antagonised most of the companies that could fund his campaign), as the "big three" are all now in doldrums.

(note: no change in my opinion of Nader, as I have since 1974 thought of him as a CF).
