I have watched practically every tv show at least once because I work in television.

Having said that I hardly ever make a point to regularly watch any of them. I don't follow CSI, American Idol, Heroes, Grey Anatomy (which I actively hate), which makes me a bit of a freak among my friends and colleagues.

Know the feeling. Don't really have time to follow the shows anymore.

Also ... what happened to good content? Or, is it just me?

I gave up on that after I noticed I could walk into a movie theatre on Friday night at 8:00 pm on the opening weeked of "The Departed" and have no trouble finding a good seat, but later saw the 10:30 pm showing of "Jackass 2" filled to capacity.

I don't watch so called "reality" TV, because most of it is nowhere near "real". That goes for Suvivor, The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, any of the Idols or Next top model etc etc etc.

I've never seen the Sopranos, mostly because I've never had HBO to be able to watch it. But now its on A&E, I have no desire to see it.

I watch Heroes and Studio 60 on Mondays (Studio mostly because its on after Heroes, but if I fall asleep, I don't think I'll miss it, if you follow)

House and Boston Legal on Tuesdays (hubby watches these 2 with me)

Bones and Lost on Wednesdays (tho Lost is getting tiring)

CSI, Grey's Anatomy and ER on Thursdays (hubby watches CSI, so I DVR Grey's and watch it on the weekend when I have time)

and Numbers on Friday. And sometimes Battlestar Galactica, and Stargate we'll watch when that returns to Fridays.

Occasionally I'll watch 24, if whatever is normally on opposite is a re-run.

The last one-hour drama series that I regularly watched was the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and that was only the first season, since it got to be too ridiculous for me. Of course, what could I really expect with a show named that? But anyway, I haven't watched a one-hour show on a regular basis since then. I've seen an episode of other shows here and there (I despise CSI, since it's incredibly unrealistic in their investigation techniques and how they always "get their man"), but that's about it.

Most of the time, when I do watch TV, it's usually the History Channel (they have some great shows on there!) or CNN/Fox News/MSNBC.

I currently don't have cable TV at home so I'm completely clueless with any shows. What I find odd these days is so many people around the water cooler talking about TV shows. I'm wondering if my father talked about the shows he watched the way people do now? There seems to be an enormous amount of promotion and hype by the TV networks to get people talking about their shows - like we've all become surrogate promoters.

I remember reading awhile ago that marketers have begun to mimick people talking about their favorite products in public - where people walking by them or overhearing them think it's just two regular people having a conversation when in fact they are actors paid to promote a particular product. Supposedly this type of subversive advertising really works.

All of them, TV makes me nervous.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Lost

Desperate Housewives

Bones

Heros(though I'm sure I would like that one, just haven't gotten around to it)

Grey's Anatomy

Dunno..there are TONS I haven't watched...actually I only have 5 or 6 shows that I try to watch all the time (ER, Apprentice...and I don't even see them every week lately. Idol is the exception...unless the circumstances are very unusual that week, I ALWAYS watch Idol! ;) In the evening or late at night I like to scope out what's on MTV, Discovery, Nick at Nite.. or that one with all the designing shows...trading spaces, blah blah. and the makeover shows too...lame, yes, but I enjoy it!! M.
