Well. I checked my case on CEAC. It still shows READY, but the difference is that it finally changed the Status Updated Dat. I had June 15 since that day, and now, it shows the current day. Will it be a good sign? Have any of you got the day updated too?

Yeah I just checked and mine also has the current date (6/23). Who knows what it means.

Yeah Moscow was included in the list, though further down, not sure what that means, if anything. So perhaps the status date change yesterday meant something, who knows. We'll see....

Mine was further down the list and was issuing visas yesterday (Monday), so not sure if it means anything, lol

now mine shows Administrative Processing.. yay!!! its finally moving... cant wait to see the "issued" on the screen lol

yes. for what ive read, it changes to issued once AP is over.

does anyone have their CEAC status showing "ready" ? mine says im "ready" to book an interview at the montreal consulate even though i already had an interview at vancouver on june 9 - but the uodated date changed to june 24 today

I had my interview June 15th. Mine showed "ready" during all this time and date was stucked on June 15th. It finally got updated the 23th (the next day after they fixed the issue), and the 24th it changed to Administrative processing.

So, I think its a good sign the date has been updated. It will go through AP anytime soon.

Keep checking CEAC web page everyday, I think you will have good news one of these days.

i was under the impression that AP is only for ppl who didnt have all the documents or something - but i i guess everyone goes through AP before their status changes to "issued" ?

Yes. AP is for ppl who need more documentation after the interview (they are usually given the 221(g) letter), but it also is a required "stage" before a visa is issued. In AP they are checking your background and doing the clearance required to issue the visa.

i think that will depend on when your consulate gets recovered from the whole systems failure thing .... unfortunately they are apparently prioritizing nonimmigrant visas and K visas are immigrant visas (

im pissed and want to do bad things to ppl who are responsible for this

I dont really know how long it takes to change, In my case it changed very fast; it guess it depends on the country you are applying from. At least your case date has been updated, which could mean that they are working on your case. I guess after the "technical issue" some countries have more backlog than others, and it could make the update take more days.

For what ive read, it could take 2-3 days in AP until it changes to "issued", for other ppl who have stayed in other countries more than 6 months, it could take longer bc they have to seach for the records internationally.. this last is my case, I gave them all the records from my home country, with all certifications needed to be used overseas. I hope i dont get stucked in AP too much time.
