I guess according to travel.state.gov yesterday they were able to issue 250 agricultural visas in Mexico and are anticipating many will receive more this week.

Is this a glimmer of hope that things are letting up? I don't even know.

Wouldn't bet on it. Those are hand jammed emergency visas...not the normal printed process.

i read one of the member in other group on fb that she just received her visa..

Yea, but was it printed before June 9th? That's the million dollar question....

It could have been and took that long to get to her.

If you were aware then you'd know it was already discussed and that those visas aren't printed or being processed the same way and offers no hope for our poor visas. Thanks.

Don't want to give anybody false hope that's all. It's relative to the discussion...

Yes...that totally explains it. So sick of the negativity on here

The only negative was my sarcastic "thanks" to their sacatstic "thanks"....everything else is just being realistic.

So my fiancés brother & mom had scheduled tourist visa appointments today. They were rescheduled to June 30th. My fiancé had his interview past the June 9 date (this past Monday the 15th), but I think after a certain point some consulates started rescheduling some appointments like theirs, probably as to not add to the backlog!

Upon calling the embassy, my fiancé was told that they don't think it'll be 'more than 5 days or so'. I just really want my fiancé to get his visa next week :( with all the backlog (50,000 a day?! Crazy), here's to hoping..... :/

Was that 'more than 5 days or so' for him to receive the visa? :)

I'm hoping to get my visa within the next week or so too - missing my fiancé so much! (My interview was June 9th)
