Hi everyone! Good news: My fiance arrived here 2 weeks ago after a 14 month separation. We got married on Thursday of last week!

I have no idea of what happens now- can anyone enlighten me? It's so nice to just be together, and I'm dreading more beurocracy and paperwork!

Can anyone tell me where to go to find out about the next steps we need to take?

When you created this post, and your reply just now.... it said in quite large writing 'Please consider reading the FAQs and Guides before posting' - you will find pretty much everything you need to know by having a read there.... if you've got as far as bringing your fiance to the US and getting married without knowing about the requirement for AOS, you need to get reading ASAP!! Good luck. :)

Also... there is an Adjustment of Status Forum on here, where you'll find a lot of people at the AOS stage... if you have more questions after reading the Guides etc, that would be a good place to post them! :)

Actually I did read the guides, but I found that most of them stop at the point of having finished the interview.

The first part-getting him here- was pretty easy to figure out. I only got on this website recently, right before his interview!

I have been working with the info on the USCIS website, but I just thought that some people on this site might have first-hand knowledge which might make it easier for me.

Thanks for that forum- I'll check it out now.

Well obviously the guides to sending the I-129F, preparing for the interview, etc etc etc, stop at that point... but then there's the AOS one(s) - tells you everything you need to send... scroll down the page a bit. I was going to post links to all the different guides, but there's a few - stuff about getting a social security number, employment authorisation etc... all here. I've not got that far yet, but am hoping that between that info and the advice to be found on the AOS forum, we should be able to find everything we need.... good luck - oh, and congrats on the marriage, btw! :)
