Rachel Dolezal to NBC: "No Biological Proof" My White Parents Gave Birth to Me

Rachel Dolezal is calling into question whether the white couple who raised her are indeed her biological parents.

Dolezal, who resigned her post as NAACP chapter president Monday amid controversy that she is a white woman pretending to be black, told NBC Nightly News' Savannah Guthrie that she has never been shown solid evidence proving Larry and Ruthanne Dolezal are biologically related to her.

"Up to this point, I know who raised me," Dolezal said in a segment that aired Tuesday. "I haven't had a DNA test. There's been no biological proof that Larry and Ruthanne are my biological parents."

Guthrie pointed out that there is a birth certificate with her name on it, to which Dolezal replied, "I'm not necessarily saying that I can prove they're not [my biological parents], but I don't know that I can actually prove they are. The birth certificate is issued a month and a half after I'm born. Certainly, there are no medical witnesses to my birth."

"I definitely am not white," Dolezal continued. "Nothing about being white describes who I am. ... I'm more black than I am white."

Larry and Ruthanne spoke to MSNBC Monday, with Larry saying they supported Dolezal's decision to step down from the NAACP. "I pray that she will take the steps necessary to embrace her true personal identity and not feel compelled any longer to be false or malicious toward her family," Ruthanne said.

So an acquaintance of an acquaintance of mine actually knew these people and went to church with them as this woman was growing up. Apparently, while her family are not Duggar-style in the breeding department, they are Duggar-style in that they apparently were the bad kind of 'Christian homeschoolers' and followed child rearing methods that included allowing older children to beat younger ones with aquarium tubing to encourage them to grow up 'right.' (See the book "To Train Up a Child" by Michael and Debbi Pearl for more information) They also, apparently, only went public with her alteration of personal identity in an attempt to cover up the fact that her (biological) brother sexually assaulted one of her (adopted) siblings and Ms Dolezal is supporting the victim against her brother.

I am not saying that she has done anything honest or good, but apparently her parents are using the fact that she escaped their weird little sect of pseudoChristianity and desperately sought out any community she could, having been broken by their little sect, to cover up their eldest son's crimes, Duggar-style.

Yes, to all of that. Apparently they went to Africa without her because she was impossible to control because she was leaving the church group they belonged to. She has apparently avoided them because of the toxic home environment and she is currently supporting a younger sibling in a court case against her (biological) brother for sexual assault, which is why her family has chosen to bring all this into the forefront now.

There are a lot of mixed race people who don't know they are mixed race and so on. There are plenty of stories of white women who thought they were white, lived a white life, until the bomb was dropped that they had mixed race parents.
