I filed AOS back in December 2014, and have received EAD and AP, but am pissed at I-485 status

Jan 28 filed RFE: Status below

We received your RFE, will begin working on your case again. You should receive an update by March 29, unless an interview is needed.

March 29...nothing...

June 11: Status below

Same as what I received in Jan 28 EXCEPT that they got rid of March 29 this date....now who knows how much longer I will have to wait..

I tried to file a service request by calling NBC but only got same response over and over again saying I cannot file one since it's in the normal processing times...St Louis office is July 2014...

This is so frustrating!!!! anyone can help or experience same issue? 6 months...

that they expect to have a decision around Sept 23, 2015...unless interview is needed.

I filed in early September 2014 and had my interview in March 2015 and no decision was made. I am still waiting on approval for my husbands greencard to this day. I just recently went in for an info pass appointment and was told to keep waiting as they behind and processing applications that came in Aug 25 2014.

AOS

8/1/09- Married (L)

9/5/14- Sent AOS Package

9/10/14- Received texts with receipt numbers, Online status updated for all four cases to " Acceptance" & " Initial review "

9/20/14- Biometrics letter recieved ( Date set for 9/30/14 )

9/30/14- Biometrics completed

10/8/14- Case moved to "Testing and interview "

10/16/14- EAD and AP Approved

10/22/14- EAD Mailed

10/24/14- EAD Delivered

3/23/15- Interview... no decision,

8/07/15- Rec'd email that my husband is APPROVED!!! Praise the LORD!!!!! Thank you, JESUS!!!!

8/11/15- Welcome Notice rec'd in mail

8/25/15- Green Card has been mailed!!!!!

8/27/15 - Green Card in hand!!

 

N-400

6/6/19- Sent N-400 Package

6/8/19- Biometrics completed

6/24/19- Biometrics reviewed

2/18/20- Interview scheduled (3/26/20)

3/18/20- Rec'd letter "Interview De-Scheduled

9/21/20- Rec'd letter with new interview date

10/15/20- Interview!!

Yeah I filed in October and I have been waiting 8 months. There are a lot of AOS filers from May, June and July still waiting and i've only seen 1 person from September approved. it takes about 1 year from filing to get approved if your eceived an Interview Waiver Letter.

05-18-2022: Filed N-400 online. Received online NOA and Biometrics re-use.

06-03-2022: Interview scheduled (online notice).

06-10-2022: Interview letter received via USPS.

07-11-2022: Naturalization Interview

I'm in the same boat as you...filed in August of 2014, then in October received a letter stating it would take a maximum of 6 more months. After 7 months I called and spoke to an agent who informed me he didn't know the status but would request a letter with updated status be sent - a month later I still haven't received any response. Wondering what is going on...it's been almost a year since filing!

Seeing the post above gives me some hope eventually they'll get to it. Never expected to wait so long.

Yeah I filed in October and I have been waiting 8 months. There are a lot of AOS filers from May, June and July still waiting and i've only seen 1 person from September approved. it takes about 1 year from filing to get approved if your eceived an Interview Waiver Letter.

but I am not changing from K1 which in most cases will receive interview waiver. anyway, 2 friends I know who filed last year Spring got approved in 3 months....why are USCIS so slow now?

It's simple...they sent the letter around March 23, 2015

saying process is expected to take another 6 months.

Bunch of people that filed around my time received the interview waiver

got notified of this 6 months processing time.

How did you receive the letter about maximum of 6 months? Did you call USCIS for a service request?

The letter was received randomly, and it also stated something along the lines of "it's unlikely an interview will be needed".

Judging from the responses it seems like a year is about the timeframe most people are waiting?
