We went to my interview together, and lots of couples do if it is possible for them to do so. But, it is not necessary and will not affect your approval. At my interview, I was the only person with my fiance with me. The other people there for K-1 Visas went alone, and were all approved.

It depends on the Consulate you will be going through whether or not you can both attend the interview together.

With my first fiancee I went along even though I could only wait outside and pace the ground. I was the only fiance there although there were 9 or 10 gals inside who were there for fiancee visas.

With my new fiancee I plan to be there with her if the interview date allows. Our plan is to spend a weeks vacation together, for me to bring the info she will need, for us then to go to moscow for her physical and interview and then for her to go home and get her stuff and for me to return to America and wait for her arrival a few weeks later.

12/14/2006 Applied for K-1 with request for Waver for Multiple filings within 2 years.
Waiting - Waiting - Waiting
3/6 Called NVC file sent to Washington for "Administrative Review" Told to call back every few weeks. 7/6 Called NVC, A/R is finished, case on way to Moscow. YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7/13 On Friday the 13th we see updated Moscow website with our interview on 9/11 (Hope we are not supersticious) 9/11 Visa Approved. Yahoo.
10/12 Tickets for her to America. I am flying to JFK to meet her there. 12/15/07 We are married. One year and a day after filling original K-1
12/27 Filed for AOS, EAD & AP 1/3 Received all three NOA-1's 1/22 Biometrics 2/27 EAD & AP received 4/12 Interview
5/19/08 RFE for physical that she should not have needed. 5/28 New physical ($ 250.00 wasted) 6/23 Green Card received
4/22/10 Filed for Removal of Contitions. 6/25 10 Year Green Card received Nov, 2014 Citizenship ceremony. Our journey is complete.

Even if the USC is not allowed inside for the actual interviewing, our patient waiting outside only reflects the support we have for our fiancee. I plan on being there. Plus- many couples choose to fly to the USA soon therafter, so if we plan it right, we can be stateside soon after the talking.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Hi,

Radu, contacted the Consulate the other day and they told him that I could attend his interview, so I plan on attending. I don't know if they have different rules since yours is for the Fiance petition and his is for the I130.

Good Luck!

I was lucky.. I notified the Tokyo Embassy I was going to be in the country and they set our interview date as well as invited me to attend. The interview was a wonderful experience. I was able to sit directly behind my fiance and hear the questions and my fiance'e responses. I would encourage anybody who has the time and money to attend their fiance's interview also.

Cheers.
