Our interview was July 21st at the montreal consulate and they said 2 1/2 to 3 weeks to get our visa. Still nada. :(

How late is the montreal consulate usually?

Hoping yours is faster than Cairo... I'm sitting on 8 weeks now since our interview and our approval letter. Several of us with our interview back in June are still waiting.

I have spent almost 15 months in between the USCIS and NVC, now I just had my interview at the US embassy in Cairo on July 12th, the consular said that I should receive my visa within two weeks, and gave me a memo that says. Up till now, it's been two months and I didn't get my visa, yet the consular didn't mention that I need to be checked for security or AP. Whenever I email the embassy they say A VISA SHALL BE ISSUED SHORTLY. :/

In addition, on the CEAC website, my case has been showing READY since my interview and up till now, it didn't change to anything neither Admin Processing nor Issued LOL. This is funny in a horrible way xD

We're still in AP. It has been 12 weeks now since our Cairo interview and our "approval" letter was given to us. We got the same letter that says wait two weeks... Our interview was JUNE 14th, and still we are waiting. To my knowledge, all the others from June interviews who were from the Cairo Embassy have all received their visas and are stateside, and we are still sitting here waiting.

I am almost the same as you just a little bit shorter in duration. So many people from July interviews as well have not received their visa yet. I seriously don't know what to do. Some people suggested contacting the congressman of your sponsors district, they may help out with immigration issue or at least provide some information about what's going on.

It's 13 and a half weeks now and still counting. The last email I sent the embassy bounced back as they've changed their email address, but it included a set of FAQs that said that Administrative Processing usually takes 5 months and that they won't answer any questions about it until 6 months have passed. It also says that AP takes place in Washington DC and that it cannot be waived or expedited.

I did speak to a nice lady at the NVC who kept apologizing and telling me there's nothing I can do as I've not been denied the visa, so there's no way I can "fight it" with or without an attorney. If we get an official denial then we can fight with an appeal. She said that the AP was completely in the hands of the embassy and that they have complete jurisdiction over the case after the interview. She said she would send a request for a status update and that I should call the NVC back in two weeks to see if the embassy had responded to then yet.

So now I don't know who to believe, the embassy's FAQs or the lady from the NVC.

I guess what you are gonna get from the NVC is the response she gave you on the phone which is that the case is in the embassy's hand. I have never got anything useful from the NVC, and whenever we call they put us on hold for hours, you know it of course. I hope this waiting ends nearly or at least they would tell us what's going on or if you may submit any further documents that would ease this up.

Week 14 and still nothing. Still sitting on the same Administrative Processing that we've been on now for what feels like forever.

Anything new with you?
