You guys aren't the only ones. Our consulate doesn't give us status updates, either. We've been in issued for a week now and still they won't tell us when it's printed. Every consulate does it differently, but I'm sure there's still a significant backlog in our consulates... or they just aren't working very quickly. It's just a waiting game. The more you think about it, the more frustrating it'll become, so I've just tried to keep remembering that this IS the end of the visa process... even if it takes another week. Ugh. There are still people stuck in the NOA2 stage who filed at the same time as us, so I consider my fiance & I lucky to be here, even though we should've already been done!

Have you been issued yet? Maybe they took a day off because the pope was there :sleepy: haha (my family is from Ecuador). My aunt got her visa on July 2nd (immigrant visa) and her interview was on June 11. I thought immigrant visas were the last ones to be working again... I find it strange your fiance still didn't get his yet :( Almost there though like you said!

It switched to issued but no has not been printed yet. The GYE consulate was open and has been open; they're just taking their time, of course, which is justttt great for us! Not!

I think I need to unfollow this thread, though. Lol. There are way too many people asking the same freaking question over and over again!

To reiterate: it goes READY, AP, ISSUED. The amount of time that takes VARIES. Please search the thread before asking a repeat question.

Good luck to everyone.

Update for the Aussies. The Consulate finally got back to me:

The technical issues we had caused quite a backlog of work to process. I have escalated your case to the officer for review, we would hope to issue your visa within the next 5 business days.

What this tells me is that Australia has fallen very, very, very far behind.

Ohh so you finally get an email and they say 'could' be issued in 5 days. The email could be worse but certainly could be better. At least it's a reply and you hopefully have a day. .

Annoying they didn't work through the weekends as I feel a lot of other countries did!!

My wife had CR1 interview in Hong Kong on June 17. The CEAC status showed ISSUED on June 26, then again on July 8, and again on July 9. USTravelDocs has always shown NO STAUS for her passport and we're still waiting. Her sister had CR1 interview in Hong Kong on July 2. She received an email today, July 9 that her passport is ready for pickup. USTravelDocs also shows READY FOR PICKUP for her passport. Is our delay still caused from the system glitch? Is it normal for people with later interview dates to be receiving their packets ahead of people that had interviews during the glitch? Thanks for any insight!
