Congratulations Odietrent!!! Great news for us. My wife had her interview in Ciudad Juarez and was approved June 9th and her status as of today is still READY so your news is great news since your interview was on June 15th. Will you update us to see how long between the time it got Issued to the time you get DHL tracking number. Thanks again and best of luck.

Good afternoon all,

Firstly I am after some constructive comments or positive opinions only please. We started this process in January last year. .

I am absolutely desperate. I was hoping to fly out this Thursday to California with my family as my wedding celebration is next Friday over there. We really don't want to cancel it.

I had my visa approved on June 30th but received a yellow form as had the wrong police check. Had this in my hand within a few days and the embassy received it today Australian time at midday. Have sent many emails and tried calling but you cant call Sydney.

I just want them to stamp my passport and send it to me in Melbourne or if I could even he my passport temporarily back or something.....

Does anyone have any advice on how to get it processed quicker or anything at all. .

Even knows someone who works there or anything. .

Thank you

You can ask for your Passport back.

Go to USA, get married, return, fly back to USA with K1.

However you may face some issues with timings at AOS stage.

Update from the London US embassy special interest magazine today:

Immigrant visa applicants, including fiancé(e) visa applicants, should also attend their interview but should allow at least 10-15 workdays for their application to be processed.

Dang Dang dang...!!

also...

London has begun printing nonimmigrant and immigrant visas. We are working as quickly as possible to clear the backlog of pending visa cases and hand your passport to the courier company for delivery. The approved courier will send a tracking message once it receives your passport. You should wait for that message. During this time, we cannot provide status updates by email or phone.

so....no updates either till it's in the courier's hot little hand :(

I know what you mean, It is beyond a joke when you get it complete and still have to wait and wait until it is delivered!

Tried every way possible to contact the Embassy but you just can't. The fact that we pay so much and we pay our taxes yet there is no one who can take calls is ridiculous! :(

I luckily got on to live chat. They didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but IVs are apparently being prioritised.

I'll get an email off to the Embassy to advise them that the Sydney Consulate is completely non-responsive.

Apparently there is no other way to contact the IV unit than via email.

My visa changed to "issued" yesterday, & I haven't received a DHL tracking # yet. I called & they told me it would either be sent today or tmrw.
